I understand what hes saying. Of course you wouldn't say "I'll do it next year" unless your trying to be a goofball. At the end of the year, everybody always makes that joke "See you next year lololol" over and over again. But when me and my friend were talking, we weren't talking about dogs. We were talking about band practice and I said (on Friday) "I can't practice next week." That doesn't sound that retarded or confusing to me.
