I don't know when I first heard a Coldplay song (Parachutes came out when I was 7) but they always seemed to be playing in the background of malls and such. The first time I actually paid attention to a song was in September 2007. My family and I were on vacation at Yellowstone and we stopped at this small grocery store at the Montana border. "Clocks" came on the radio and I felt proud that I knew the song was a by a band named Coldplay and the name of the song. (At that time I thought Coldplay was a bunch of men in their 40's with ZZ Top length beards :rolleyes:) Months later (around March 08) I was looking for some piano music and I remembered how cool "Clocks" sounded. I got the music and spent too much time trying to get the pattern right but the result was I got interested in Coldplay. Bought Rush of Blood to the Head in April and couldn't stop listening to it. Then came the "Viva" Apple commercial and I pre-ordered VLV. Got Parachutes for Christmas that year and listened to yellow while watching the sun rise over water. Now I have all the Albums. The best part is, a little over a year after buying my first album I was able to see them live and it was awesome.
