I'm usually a bigger fan of artists than just of individual albums. Because if you like one album by a musician, why would you only listen to that one? There are most likely a number of others by them that you would love. And listening to an artist with lots of phases can help you figure out what you really like about a song or album. Because once you pick out a favorite album by an artist, you discover that there might be a reason why you like it so much.
