2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
Best Label I was surprised this actually went through, considering I know virtually nothing about labels. Anyway, the winner is... Jagjaguwar!

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
Best Cover (Coldplayer) OK. I've decided to do something slightly different here. You see, like the omitted categories, I got all one-vote nominees for covers. However, 3/4 of those votes went to covers made by one particular Coldplayer. I noticed this, and I wanted to acknowledge this person. With that being said, it is with great pleasure that I give Mike (the_gloaming09) recognition for being Coldplaying's Best Cover Artist. Congratulations, Mike.

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
I'm not exactly sure, but from what I hear, a lot of people don't like them. Ask one of the Brits on the forum; they're from Britain. Best Solo Artist I received a lot of worthy nominees, but it came down to one person. The winner is... Jónsi!

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
...You mean there are different ones? At any rate, I was merely using the video to add to the presentation. It doesn't change the fact that the video for the song "The Suburbs" won. Anyway, next one. Music Disaster/Disgrace to Music This one actually ended up in a 2-way tie. Given that this was a 5-way tie before the runoffs, this is much better. Anyway, you guys chose... Misusage of Autotune... AND... Jedward!

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
Album of the Year (United Kingdom) I was surprised by this, honestly, particularly after reflecting on the results of the 2010 album countdown. I'm not complaining, though. The winner is... "Happiness" by Hurts!

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
Yeah, Apparatjik kinda won by default, so... Sara, feel free to comment as much as you please. I honestly don't care. Christina, it was the only other option in the runoffs. Of course it was second. OK, I'm grouping the next three together. Why? They all have the same winner, and it's pointless to make three separate posts on it. Most Overrated Album + Album Art of the Year + Album of the Year (Canada) If you don't have it figured out by now, here's the memo. The winner for all three of these is... "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire!

2010 WoM Awards Ceremony
I figured it would be better to post it right here where everyone could see it, as opposed to in the WoM section, where no one really goes at this point. Anyway, I would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make this happen. Now, if everyone is ready, I'd like to get this started. First, to announce the awards that didn't quite work out. There weren't nearly as many as I thought there were, but there were a few. These include: ♦ Most Underrated Album ♦ Best Cover (band/artist) ♦ Best New Artist Introduced to Forum That's about it. I was able to sort through everything else. So, if you guys are ready, I'll go ahead and get this show on the road. I told you I'd do this today, so I am.

Time Magazine grades Grammy performances
I didn't get to watch the Grammy's, so I missed out on all this. I will say this, however: 1. I did YouTube Muse's performance this morning, and it was fantastic. 2. I don't like Bob Dylan, so I probably wouldn't have given him that high of a rating even in his prime. 3. If Mick Jagger sounded anything like he did when The Rolling Stones performed at halftime in the Super Bowl a few years ago, there's no way he should've ever gotten an A.
