  1. In many years of concertgoing and following various bands, I've heard the same thing... people getting really good seats the day of the show. Apparently after the stage is all set up, often there are extra seats that they can sell. I always tell myself that one day I'm going to take that strategy. But when it comes right down to it, I am always extremely anxious about tickets and need to lock them up as soon as I can. Sometimes to my detriment. :\
  2. I'm a doctor. A recession-proof job.... as people (unfortunately) are always going to get sick....
  3. In my opinion this is one of the biggest SCAMS in the industry today. The promoters, in likely cahoots with TicketBastard/LiveAbomination, prey on our (the biggest fans') desire for tickets. They put out crappy seats for presales, people buy them because they're afraid nothing better is gonna come up. We are all suckers..... myself included.
  4. Hey I would LOVE to go to Wembley... You sneak me in for Wembley, and I'll sneak you in for 3 US shows...;)
  5. Hey guys PIT TIX still available!! I'm going with someone who can't stand for that many hours, so we have seats, that's fine...
  6. Right now I have my extras listed on TicketsNow and StubHub for $100 apiece... only $3 above face. With the fees and commissions, I will end up losing money. But I'd rather sell at a loss then eat them. I may end up selling at a discount to fellow Coldplayers. That way true fans can get them without paying out the nose to scalpers.
  7. I'm fortunate to have a well-paying, recession-proof job with lots of vacation time. I used to follow Yes around... have seen about 200 shows since the late 80's. But alas, their health isn't too good anymore... first the lead singer had acute respiratory failure, which led to cancellation of their 40th anniversary tour last summer. Then this past tour in Feb, bass player went down and they had to cancel AGAIN. Well after all, they ARE in their 60's. Sometime last summer, I started listening to Coldplay for the first time EVER (can you believe it??) It all started when one of my colleagues at work started ragging on me for having "nothing after 1985" on my iPod. I decided maybe I should check out some "newer" music LOL. I heard Clocks on someone else's iPod, walked over and saw it was Coldplay, and downloaded AROBTTH from iTunes that evening. As they say, the rest is history.... At least the guys in Coldplay are still in their 20's... I am thrilled that this band that I have completely latched onto are young and energetic and able to do tons of shows without problems!! Long live Coldplay!!:)
  8. I got section 102, row N today. I'm happy. Also, I just checked... pairs still available close, for example, 103, row K. Those are pretty damn good seats.
  9. Seems that a bunch of seats have been released for certain shows, within the past few days. For example, seats in 100 level for Camden and Charlotte. These tickets are WAY better than those released for the presales and initial general sales. I'm feeling the need to upgrade. Basically, I'm going to get screwed over, but after all, it's Coldplay. One scenario I thought of... Perhaps blocks of closer seats were held back initially as management did not give final arrangements to the venues regarding the catwalks, etc. That would impact on which front section seats could and could not be sold. I say this because I suspect it's not a coincidence that better seats are opening up at the same time for different venues. Maybe now everyone is on the same page. Or, maybe this is just a dirty trick on Live Nation's part! Anyway, if you are holding tix and wish to possibly upgrade, check out your show listing. Also check to see if pit tickets are now available. I know they just released pit tix for Charlotte, which were not available before.
  10. Thanks Denise for the heads up!! I just got a GA pit ticket. I was also able to pull up section 1, row J... 10th row, and not even all the way over on the side. Unfortunately, I just bought a single in section 1, row S off of TicketsNow last week. Bad timing. I have way too many extra tickets piling up. I don't want to get stuck with them. I may end up selling them at a loss, just to get rid of them.
  11. I have an extra single ticket: Section 118, row N Only looking to get what I paid for it: $128.35 which includes all extra fees. PM me if interested.
  12. I have an extra single ticket: Section 107, row K Only looking to get what I paid for it: $134.28 which includes all TM fees. PM me if interested.
  13. Unless you're fairly tall (like 6 ft or over), I think you'd be better off in section 107. You'll have a side view, but since Coldplay's stage setup is "open" there will be no obstructions. Section 6, row 6 on the floor looks like it will be at least 25 rows back. Like I said, unless you're tall, you'll be looking at the backs of peoples' heads. I've never been to the Sommet Center, but I've been to a lot of arena shows and that's my best advice.
  14. I just checked the Live Nation site and they are still selling tickets. I haven't received any such emails. BTW GA pit tickets are still available...
  15. Good luck everyone! I'm going for Hartford, Hershey, and Camden simultaneously... should be interesting.
