i still don't get what the hell that host was on about when he said Kasabian were doing a tribute to Michael Jackson......... ..........................but then, i thought all his jokes were rather horrible & totally not funny anyway.

i should probably add that i haven't actually listened to Leona's album. just the singles...or the songs my friends tell me about. so she hasn't had a chance to bore me to tears yet. :P only really like 1 Mariah song too (Always Be My Baby). & i think she had a better image back in her 90s heydays than whatever image it is she's trying to portray for herself these days...but at least she & Leona don't go around dressing weird like a certain gaga lady.

heh...i understand. i saw them in Malaysia first & they totally blew my mind too! so i ended up buying a ticket to see them when they did their gig at Wembley Arena. :) ooooh....geeky Tom! i likes the look! :wacky: here's a quick (& crappy) screencap i took of their performance at the Brits... ...love the fire surrounding them onstage!!! simply awesome!!!

oh & i thought you all might be interested in this blog (if you haven't already read it before) : http://atnz11.blogspot.com/ basically, it's kinda like the Snow Patrol version of Roadie #42...except this is from 2005-2006.

ouch! then again, i'd be scared too! :stunned: my grandma once got lockjaw when she yawned...& a friend of mine has a tendency of doing her back in just by sneezing! freaky stuff! @Mig-El : nice find! shall need to ask somebody i know about what's up with this re-release...heh :D i actually kinda like a couple of Leona Lewis' songs. her singing style's definitely not rock...it's more Whitney Houston & Celine Dion type with the (super) strong vocals. anyway, i'm detracting, she made the song different...which, imo, is the whole point of covering a song...& thankfully it wasn't a bad cover. but the Snow Patrol ORIGINAL is still the best to me too. :) before i left for UK i let my best friend hear Snow Patrol's Run first, then i told him about the cover by Leona Lewis. he had a listen to her cover & his feedback to me made me a very happy person! hahaha he felt that the Snow Patrol version was much much better...cos he said Gary's voice suits the song's emotion/mood much better, the singing was better & more emotional overall (he's usually not that critical about songs, btw). :D

(cos the only other Malaysian i know here can't really speak Malay well)

i'd never seen them live before their Reworked gig in Bristol last year & i was on my own, but i still loved it! well, i think the fact that it turned out to be almost 3hrs of just Snow Patrol helped loads. especially given how much i had to pay for it. :D agreed! he was pretty chatty in Bristol too... :) tho i did read an interview somewhere where the guys admitted they felt they didn't do a good job winning the crowd at Brighton so they upped their game for Bristol, being the 2nd stop on the tour then.

seriously??? your most expensive is like........ermmm....close to my cheapest, which was £13 for Mew at my uni's Student Union. most expensive was Snow Patrol at about £60 :\ ........but other than feeling rather poor after paying for it, i'm not complaining. 1st SP gig, wonderful Reworked Tour gig & they played for almost 3hrs. price was worth the fond memories from the nite as it is! :D

most of their music always makes me feel like dancing!

Hello Malaysia!
i love the Martins too............but they are even more expensive than the Taylors. :( it kinda is, even for me. but it's lovely to play with. yah, man! me too! it's moving at the speed of sound! :P

was in TTB.com looking at how Sam's done up her website & there's a post of the Other Voices appearance already! :D btw, does anyone here know if it's ok to use a promo/press photo of a band or the band's "logo" (e.g. SP's current snowflake themed logo) & also album covers? my Web Tech unit's assignment is to make a web site with some pages & i'm doing a music review kind of web site, but my lecturer doesn't want us to take anything from commercial sites unless it specifically says that it's free for general use. (& i'm taking my lecturer's point as an indication that using any of Bradley's awesome shots are out of the question)

heh...i'm with you for that! well, if i can find the time. i've no idea why everyone else on my course seems to be slacking for this week while i'm waist deep studying up all kinds of cool stuff for Web Tech... oh & btw i added you on DA. ;)

Hello Malaysia!
alamak! Sc punye 'C'...... :dozey: go ask Min to introduce you to Milo Dinosaur! hehe then again, you can probably make it yourself. it's Milo Ais with a mountain of Milo powder on top. syiokerz!!! :D i use a junior/travel guitar......& i love my Baby Taylor!!! :D but i'm starting to think a Big Baby Taylor would be more suitable for me...i just can't afford one. :P btw, Bono's married lah...for like 20+yrs already. & still no sign of a U2 gig in SEA. *sigh* awww...c'mon...Lovedrunk's pretty catchy....hehe they were good at MTV World Stage, tho AAR were better. Tyson's got the charisma the Boys Like Girls fella was just hyper. didn't really know their songs before i saw them at MTV World Stage, but i'm pretty hooked on a few of them now & i love Mona Lisa a lot. BUT there are helluva lot of Mat Rempits who are AAR fans...totally put me off from ever wanting to see them live in Malaysia again. but then Kasabian seems to attract the British equivalent too over here...so no pitside action for me at Kasabian gigs here.

ah, haven't been here in a while! i'm somehow actually unexpectedly busy with uni/studies right now. meh. :dozey: i'm studying Computer Science. how about you? :) oooh.....i watched the trailer & it looks interesting. + it's based on a Nicholas Spark novel! can only mean one thing: it'll be a tearjerker (loved 'A Walk To Remember', even tho it was a pretty sad story, imo). the choice of Set Fire to the Third Bar seems well chosen for it...hope it's actually used in the movie. oh & i just read on TTB.com today that Snow Patrol have to pull out of the Meteor Awards...cos Gary's somehow BROKEN his jaw!!! WTF Gary!!! :stunned:

Hello Malaysia!
actually, what's the 2nd 'C' stand for? cos over here we just call it CS or CompSci. @emilythea sorry, very the slow to reply you, but yeah...i'm studying Computer Science right now. stressssssss..... :dozey: but at least this semester, the subjects range from i'm REALLY interested in (Web Technologies) to i'm not fond of it, but it's still interesting (Databases.......featuring a real-life database my lecturer set up that's related to Min's pet subject. :P). & 1 of the project supervisors in the Cryptography group is cute......tho i'm not sure if he's supervising my sad case of a nothing-to-do-with-Crypto project. & i miss having a MILO Dinosaur/Shake!!!

ah, ok. haha sounds like me when i was working in Singapore & going back to Malaysia on just about every long weekend i could note on the calendar. haha...thanks. my room's tiny tho. anyway, it's just a temporary room while i'm doing my postgrad (& i guess i'm technically in grad school too, like you! :) ). the plan is to have the posters framed up properly when i DO get round to having a place of my own...whenever that might actually be. :dozey: i was actually searching for a poster from the Reworked Tour on eBay or any online shop...& stumbled on this one instead. there are a few others around (i saw 1 that actually had a Star Wars theme to it! complete with Snow Troopers & AT-AT Walkers! :laugh3: ) tho i think this is 1 of the cooler ones... i'm pretty into the Reworked Tour version of Spitting Games right now...it's got a nice buildup to it. :)

The Simpsons: Coldplay's Chris Martin among season 21 guests
woohoo! thanks for that image! :D & i went ahead to make a simple wallpaper out of it anyway...heh (actual wallpaper image is HERE ) doesn't look too bad, even at 1680x1050 resolution for my screen. just that Chris looks just a wee bit pixelated.

Hello Malaysia!
haha...that monkey is SO cute! the 1st part is called "assembly language"...it's apparently the kind of programming ppl do for the CPU of our wonderful computers. personally, i hate it. especially when the name for this style of assembly language is SIMPLE (it SO does not live up to its name!) :P the 2nd part is called "machine code" & it's all in hexadecimal form...which is "easier for humans to read" than binary. :dozey: & binary is this: 1101010010100101000100101010010100010101010010101110101010101 (at this point, i should mention that my PC decided to hang as i was typing the binary code...& i had to do a hard restart. :inquisitive: )

*lol* that was pretty funny...& the "crap accents"! the animation style kinda reminds me of King of the Hill, somehow. & ermmm...i wasn't really sure which one was Gary at the start. but are those glasses he's supposed to be wearing at the start when they were in uni? :P
