Official Red Hot Chili Peppers thread
One of the best bands of the last 20 years... Their latest album was extremely weak and disappointing. By The Way and Californication were wonderful and Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik is a masterpiece. John Frusciante is by far one of the greatest guitar players of all time. I have been fortunate enough to see RHCP twice and actually meet Frusciante and Chad Smith.

The odds of the store having that particular album is probably pretty slim... But good luck it took me three years to find a copy I could actually afford.

Get American Beauty by the Grateful Dead on mono vinyl, that will be a good example of the sound I am talking about.

I guess since you buy records to only get autographed then you aren't buying any classics, but the sound quality is far better and there is zero compression. Tha'ts why CDs sound like crap.

People like you make me mad. Whats the point in owning vinyl if you don't listen to them? Go purchase a record player and hear the difference for your self... Also, vinyl has ALWAYS been a popular format have you noticed how they have never stopped making them?

Chris Cornell
Chris Cornell - Scream (2009) Has anyone checked out Chris Cornell's new album Scream? It was produced by Timbaland and its pretty amazing. Its totally new and inventive unlike anything Cornell has done to date. I can't stop listening to it.

Requiem for a Dream
What do you think? I bought this movie back in 2002 after a friend recommended it, I was kind of in shock when it was over. Then I watched the movie Kids and was even more disgusted...:stunned:

The Beatles
Abbey Road for sure... Let It Be a close second.

2009 albums worth hearing
Chris Cornell's new album Scream is the only album besides Bruce Springsteen's that I have absolutely loved so far.

Metric
I saw Metric a few years back... They didn't do much for me. Broken Social Scene and Feist are far better.
