Ghost Stories in 24Bit 44,1 Khz HDTRACKS
It's worth pointing out that Ghost Stories is a "Mastered for iTunes" release, meaning the AAC files were made from the 96/24bit audio masters (based on the program's MFiT page). So, even though the difference might be small when listening to lossless masters, if you are downsampling, having a higher-resolution master file makes for a better quality lossy copy... Although the mastering does also play a part in how much of a difference.

Dave Matthews Band...
If anyone out there got the international version on CD and would be able to pass along a lossless copy of "Cornbread" from it, I'd really appreciate it. Why they offer a $70 deluxe version and don't include one of their more recently and popular live tracks in the US on any format is just beyond my understanding. It's only the International releases and iTunes UK! Soooo weird. Thanks in advance.

LRLRL D/LOAD LINK! Plus REACTIONS/RESPONSE to LRLRL Live Album
Could someone who snagged a copy a WPB mind posting a FLAC copy in the FLAC forum? That would be great, and I know I wouldn't feel so bad that I won't be able to get an actual CD cuz at least I'll have the album in its best quality. I know there are several requests in there already. Thanks!

LRLRL D/LOAD LINK! Plus REACTIONS/RESPONSE to LRLRL Live Album
I'm still fascinated by the 320 vs 192 downloads. Did people definitely get a 320 from the site, or did someone just re-post a 192 re-encoded at 320 and then share it to megaupload? I just ask because it's weird... the 320kps one I got had no album art encoded with it (just a jpg file in the archive), but the 192kps one I got directly from coldplay.com had it encoded in the file AND the jpeg. Just wondering, as sometimes people on boards have thought that by re-encoding a lossy (MP3/AAC) file at a higher bitrate, it improves the quality. (Good intentions and all.) The one I got from megaupload seemed like someone re-zipped the files instad of just re-uploading the .zip file they got from coldplay.com I take my coldplay seriously, which is why I wanted to just see what other people's experinces were. It is weird that they'd start out with a high bitrate and then drop it (but make the files bigger by adding in the artwork), as the biggest demand would have been right at the release time, one would imagine.

"LeftRightLeftRightLeft" Free Live Album Mailing Exchange Thread
I would love a copy of the show. I won't be able to catch them when they are here next week. For those that want something to listen to until then, I offer the following: :-) I imported the MTV World Stage Show into my computer yesterday and found the audio mix to be poor. I think they swapped the surround speaker audio with the front speaker channels or something. Anyway, while I found plenty of versions on here I thought perhaps it could be improved. After a fair amount of tweaking I was able to bring the channels more to the center and boost the levels and now I find it listenable although still not awesome like a high-def broadcast should sound. At any rate, if you are interested in a lossless copy of the show, with fade ins/out and a decent sound quality, please enjoy. The link will take you to the forum thread, which is pretty old and so probably not many people know it is available just yet. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54924&page=23 The link is about 3 posts down. It is a 433MB set of 5 files. Thanks to LiquidSky! So anyway, as a guy making his 5th post, I wanted to make sure people knew I was asking for a CD but also trying to contribute to the community. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help out! Anyone know or have a way of asking/suggesting if the download version will be available in FLAC or some other lossless format? That would be sweet.
