  1. Naw, YES is just hard to sing.. FULL STOP. Even as a guy, you'd have to have a particularly low voice to sing that Everytime I try to sing YES I either go flat in the middle of the first verse, or practically end up whispering it. I can sing it if I stand completely still, but I can't sing it while strumming. After the first verse the song gets easier to sing though. But that first verse... man.. that's a killer once my voice got horse cuz i spent an afternood convinced that if I keep going at it I would get it. On another note, I can do the falsetto's pretty easy :) ( and NO i do not have a girly voice ).
  2. I put the TV on VH1's countdown today and I was thinking; " man , these songs are boring stuff, you know what this needs, it needs some Coldplay " I think YES is a great song ( all 7 minutes of it ), and it would make an epic video. I remember in the first month of having the album, I almost ran my voice dry, trying to sing that song ( i just can't keep up that low-octave without going breathless ! ) What do you think ? Is it deserving of a video ?
  3. I think Violet Hill does have its rightly deserved opinion as a great song. However I think they should make a video for YES ( all 7 minutes of it ). THAT song is underrated.
  4. No, actually I really do like Coldplay. They are the best thing out now, and I've been listening to them since Parachutes. I just wanted to see how exactly they do the dulcimer for "life in technicolor ii" that's all. I was hoping they would have shown it on stage, but they didn't. I was a bit disappointed in that. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the rest of the show though. I can't help notice things like that, its just the way my mind works. For example, its absolutely amazing to watch them play YES. Seeing Johnny soloing all the little fills, is awesome !
  5. As much as I love coldplay music, I really hate to see the four musician standing idly while you hear the dulcimer playing at the start. I like seeing all my instruments on stage, thank you very much, that's what I'm paying for. I would even rather if they just chose not to use it, at least that way, what you see is what you hear. ::angry: I really don't see what is the big issue that they absolutely MUST have only the four of them on stage. I would much rather if they had a man on the side playing the dulcimer. The same goes for "lovers in Japan" and "Viva la Vida" No one expects Chris to strum guitar while playing keyboard with his toes; or to walk through the crowd with a portablekeyboard hanging from his neck. But if you are going to use extra music, hire extra musicians for the stage. I love colplay music, and I know that they themselves record the extra parts in the studio.. but its no fun to see four instruments on stage, when you can clearly hear six.
