Albums You Regret Buying
The Unforgettable Fire hasn't been remastered yet, as far as I know. It's the only album from the 80s that hasn't been except for Wide Awake In America (which is really just a live EP thingy.) and Rattle and Hum which isn't so much an album as it is a compilation of leftovers from The Joshua Tree and live tracks from performances on said tour across the country (USA). I am highly anticipating it, as it is my favourite U2 album. As far as improvements go, I noticed a bit of one on the JT remaster, but little on the other three. I mean, yeah, they do sound slightly louder and a little more crisp, but imo, not worth the price tag. The bonus discs were kind of a rip off too. Especially the War one. It's filled with different versions of New Year's Day! Like we didn't hear the studio version enough on the radio. :snore: And you probably will notice the improvements best if you have good headphones, or a good stereo system ... one thing is for certain, I'm not the only one who thought there was not much of an improvement between the remasters and originals. The price tag for the deluxe edition was ridiculous, even though yeah, you do get bonus discs each housed in little hardback books and a poster ... but at least the deluxe JT remaster came with a live DVD and the Under a Blood Sky remaster also has the option of coming with a DVD of Red Rocks! I wish I hadn't bought the remastered set ... it's too much for not much quality.

Porcupine Tree
Nope, I got into them when they were just wrapping up over the UK. I was a little pissed at myself when I found out that I hadn't missed seeing them by much more than a year! I hear they put on a hell of a show. Between the lighting rigs and projections, I'm sure it's a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the ears!

Truth! There is no better album with a better tracklisting. I wish they would've used Half Light instead of Glass Arm Shattering, but I can understand why they did it, I think! I suspect we are in for quite a treat this tour. I really can't wait.

Er ... now I could be mistaken, but I think you have the wrong area. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=25

Not really, no. I could tell of a bigger difference between the remastered Joshua Tree than the remastered versions of Boy, October and War. Namely that JT's remastered seem to be much louder than the original, which was a blessing because the original recording seemed so bloody quiet! You get more with that remaster set than you do with the early remasters, so that one was definitely worth at least more than half of the price sticker.

NICKELBACK
I find it funny that everyone seems to hate them so immensely, but they're pretty successful. Guess everyone can't hate them, huh? Gotta love trends.

I think you can rest well assured that IF Anesthetize appears this tour, it WON'T be regularly, or if it does, then odds are, The Incident isn't played in it's entirety that specific show. The setlist would be too cramped to include too many other things. It is kind of cool in a way that the album doesn't hit stores until after the concert, meaning I could stop by some obscure record store on the way home and buy it, hehe. But knowing Steven, not all of us on this end of the pond who will be going before the 22nd will be in the dark when the first notes are played!

The 55 minute song cycle IS the whole first disc of the album. I think it's a given that they'll play it. I'm guessing they'll either open with a few classics like Blackest Eyes or Open Car and then play the first disc of The Incident, then come back with some more older stuff and maybe one or two songs off the EP (second disc) or play it first, then the rest.
