Hmmm I vote Gorillaz. But really Plastic Beach is not so hip hop I feel like the tone of the album is much more subtle and laid back than previous ones. Yes there are a few hip hop like tracks on it, but really I don't think it's even in the hip hop category more of a compilation of my many genres. I don't see how it is one of the biggest hip hop albums of the year. OK and someone said about Bon Iver and Fergie compared to the guests on Platic Beach? Bon Iver is good yes and soe of the other guests on Kanye's yes... but lol Fergie? :P If you are comparing who is on the album I still think Gorillaz because still those don't compare to Lou Reed, Bobby Womack, half of The Clash :stunned: Simon Tong, Mark E. Smith, Little Dragon .. and many more.

He totally surprised her and layed a big one on here hahaha Oh it was funny, but we didn't get a video of it :(

Hello everyone! Another one of my random posts as I know I come on here rarely. However I had the great opportunity of meeting the lovely Suzi Winstanley at an art function last week! I talked with her quite a bit throughout the evening about her art and she was the greetest and kindest woman. I true artist and environmentalist. I couldn't help but keep thinking about all the connections her artwork seemed to have with the theme of the idea of Plastic Beach. No doubt I am thinking perhaps Damon was inspired by his lovely missus and the work she does for such an album :) Im sure a lot of you already know her.. she is the one in purple shirt and black pants. A truly great human being by what I saw. I also laughed as the night went on as someone later (Im not sure how it got brought up in convo) but they mentioned Snoop Dogg and she said she was related to him! I am laughing, is this a connection I'm wondering between Damon's love of Snoop or what? LOL I did not ask her anything about Damon though, I felt weird doing so :( I didn't want to pry or seem like I was just talking to her for that reason. Anyway make of it what you will. Also congrats Lizzy on meeting Damon! Welcome to the club!

Nothing wrong with it. I do not go around living my life like a fangirl, online is just a place to share admiration you have for someone or a band with other fans. I also feel there are more fans in the world of music section because yes Coldplay are away at the moment, giving fans the opportunity to discover other bands.

First of all, I didn't have a go at you. I simply pointed out a pet peeve of mine. And I'm not going to continue after this post because having an argument over this is stupid. The only reason I brought up having met him was because your specifically mentioned him, like it was all his evil idea to fuck over the Newcastle date. And please, Damon Albarn wanting to fuck over England? Do you not know how he pretty much saved British culture and music back in the 90s from all the American bullshit everyone was listening too? So yah he really wants to fuck England over. But your entitled to your own opinion of him and Gorillaz, so if you've lost respect for them, move on. Don't come in here and expect all of us to agree with you that they are all a bunch of arseholes now though. Thank you both! Actually what I was meaning to say. They probably couldn't reschedule the Newcastle date because of the logistics of the rest of the tour.

See that's actually one of my pet peeves. When shows get canceled and someone rushes in and says they have lost all respect for someone. Oh and I like how you point out Damon, like he must be the real douche bag behind it all. You know it probably had something to do with the new American dates that conflicted. They've done a lot of shows already in the UK, and there was probably a big conflicting schedule. I don't think you know enough about the situation to be saying you've lost respect just for that. I've met Damon twice throughout his career and he is one of the most lovely individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting. He has done the most brilliant things for British music and music in general. Losing respect over that is just ridiculous. Things like this happen in lots of big name bands and I'm not saying its OK, but sometimes there are not many options to work with.

You all will just LOVE the show. I wonder if Snoop and the whole gang will tour all over America?

Think Tank is my favorite Blur album. I think I tend to go towards their more recent stuff and of course Damon's work in Gorillaz. & LizzyBerry what was your dream about? Lord know I've had my share fare of Damon dreams :wink3: :lol:
