  4. I'm not sure if anyone has stated this yet but emo stemmed from the word "emotional". Following that logic, yes, Coldplay is an EXTREMELY emo band. Chris puts a lot of his feelings into his lyrics. But according to the mainstream definition of emo (i.e. bands with eyeliner, tight pants, and fangirls who cut themselves and cry themselves to sleep while wearing black and hating their lives) no, they are not emo at all. Well, they have the tight pants but that's pretty much it.
  5. That's exactly what I did. In addition to our name, we also have that in common. We must start an interesting conversation on this thread.
  6. No. I am so terribly depressed because I like Coldplay. :blank: In all seriousness, I really think my life has changed because of them. I sort resent from the term "fangirl" when I'm called one because to me a fangirl is a girl who only likes a band for their attractiveness and though yes, I think Coldplay is a handsome band (very handsome) I am in love with their music so much more, which is like a crazy crazy amount. It conveys every emotion I could ever feel and the lyrics are beautiful. My life would be very very different without them. But I have to admit, I am crazy obsessive when it comes to Coldplay, so the whole fangirl thing isn't too far off
  7. The problem is, I always find an amazing band and never have enough money to buy all of it. I feel guilty but I like to think that the bands are already so rich that they would rather have people like their music and appreciate than get $1.29 per song.
  8. Yes - Coldplay
