Eddie's music taste
I was wondering that also. The links in the first post of the 'your music' thread aren't working for me, so I'm guessing it's somewhere else...

Yes that's what they want (in order with your favorite at #1). It was hard and I kept changing my list, but I eventually settled on one.

30 Day Song Challenge - DAY 01-DAY 30
Well this is retrospective, but... We wanted the DJ to play this song as we were walking into our reception, because it has a very happy, celebratory feel to it. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjDaPOWdx6s]YouTube - Star Wars Throne Room Theme Song[/ame] But instead, what does the DJ play? Yip, you guessed it... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6VKmn31z-w&feature=related]YouTube - Star Wars V - The Imperial March[/ame] :dozey: Needless to say, we were not thrilled. Yeah, it was kind of funny, especially looking back on it, but still. Mmmph.

Eddie's music taste
* feels left out because I don't know what this magical age is that everyone is referring to * . . * looks at Eddie's profile * . . :stunned: * agrees that he is probably more in tune with exploring all sorts of music than most people his age * . . * hopes that we have not unwittingly placed insane expectations on his future *

30 Day Song Challenge - DAY 01-DAY 30
In anticipatory clarification for those who decide to post something... Are you referring to the ceremony itself or the reception? Or either one?

Radiohead
I know, right?!? I felt as though my inital gut reaction that I posted of "wtf it should have been on TKOL" was vindicated when they admitted that they originally planned for it to go on TKOL, but they just couldn't 'make it work'. edit: For the first half of TKOL, a nice flow instead of 1. Bloom 2. Morning Mr Magpie 3. Little By Little 4. Feral (sh)could have been 1. Bloom 2. Little By Little 3. The Butcher 4. Feral Just sayin'.

holidays
That sounds good. Just try to recall times when you thought to yourself, "I'd like to do A right now, or maybe B or C, but I just don't have the time; I'll try to do that sometime soon." Those are the things you should do.

Vinyl Freaks and Geeks
ok thanks :nice:
-
Radiohead
Well, to be fair the people that bought the album online from the TKOL store bought the newspaper album (vinyl), not the 'plain vanilla' TKOL vinyl that you bought in the store. The newspaper album was significantly more expensive.

Vinyl Freaks and Geeks
Yes, the ones I've seen are very expensive; the buy-it-now price on the listing is lower than retail, but it is still very expensive. In regard to the material on the outside case, it almost kind of looked like leather or some other thick material/fabric (in the upper part of this picture). It's hard to tell from the picture though, that's why I was wondering if you could describe what you actually have.

I hate making decisions but ahhhhhhhhh
I still think he should go to U of Michigan instead. That way when people ask him where he's going to school, he can just do what the rest of us Michiganders do... POINT TO HIS HAND. :smartass2:

Vinyl Freaks and Geeks
:awesome: So what kind of material is the outer case? It looks a bit thicker than the standard vinyl cover case. Yesterday I bid $1 for one on ebay. I'm the winning bidder so far; however the reserve isn't met yet so I suppose my 'winning' bid doesn't mean much.

Radiohead
How did you go to the store to buy the Supercollider/The Butcher Record Store Day vinyl release? It wasn't even available in the U.S. That's what is free to download, not The King of Limbs (if that's what you're thinking).

Your Favourite Artist/Album/Song Of All Time,
No, you are not the only person that doesn't like Radiohead. There are plenty out there. I myself didn't start listening to them until January. The fact that you indicate Plant Telex and Karma Police as their "great songs", to me you have answered your own question; people simply have different tastes in music. I'm pretty sure most Radiohead fans wouldn't list Planet Telex and Karma Police as Radiohead's "great songs"; not to mention they've released about 15 years worth of material since then.
