Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
And the drama ensues. Note, I am NOT buying from this dude. But I just wanted to ask him another question. I think I need to go look up the definition of "shady" in the dictionary, to refresh my memory. :dozey: My question to ireekofawesumnes: Okay. Well in that case, suppose I get there, and for some reason it doesn't work, they don't let me in. Would you give me my money back? And pay for my plane ticket, lodging, etc. that I spent? I just want to make sure that there truly is no risk if I purchase the tickets. Thanks. The response: do you have an official government photo ID of yourself? if the answer to that is yes, then it would be impossible for this to not work, because the tickets will be under your name and youll be given all the other materials needed to collect them

The most IMPORTANT thing we need to know when she posts her story here... was Chris wearing the same BTTF t-shirt again?

I haven't placed a bid yet, but at least one person that put in a bid does not like the seeticket auction process at all. It is different than eBay auctions, because eBay auctions never show what someone's highest bid is. And whoever has the highest bids on there right now, they probably didn't know that was how it would work, they probably had no clue that their highest bid would be put out there for the masses to see right off the bat. The maximum bid amounts have barely changed since the auction started. But again, there's no way to tell what the lowest successful bid is. So to answer your question: I don't know, but it is probably much lower, at least for now. You could probably put in a low bid that you're comfortable with and see if it says you temporarily have a claim on a ticket. But of course, I'm assuming that's how it would work, since I haven't put a bid in yet. I'm going to wait until Wednesday I think (now that I found out late yesterday that I would be allowed to take a day off to account for the trip back home).

I just noticed on the bottom of the introductory auction page, at the bottom it says this: Charity website– designed by Loft Digital, built by Fat Beehive  beehive

Coldplay lined up to play at American Music Awards? (21-Nov-2010)
Goodness, with all of those performers, when will they have time to give out any awards?

Well, I give the seller credit, he at least responds quickly. My reaction to his response though is :freak: "i understand your concern, and as much as youre not trying to be snarky, im not trying to be purposely secretive or withhold info for no reason...at this point all i can say is that i have done this MANY times before, and NEVER has my method not worked...i even called seetickets today to run the 'hypothetical' situation by them and they confirmed it will work"

Okay, I just sent the seller this follow-up question. Can't wait to see the response this time. "I'm not trying to be snarky, but I do think you need to go into more detail. Coldplay.com clearly states the following: 'Tickets will not be posted out. All tickets will be collected on the night of the show from the venue and all customers will be asked to provide ID that match the details given at the time of booking.' I don't know how the buyer would be able to get around that."

Should I send a follow-up question and say, "Yes, I think you do need to go into more detail" ? I mean the rules clearly quote the credit card fraud issues in regard to why they need ID and the credit card when you pick them up. I don't see how it could be otherwise. Basically I'm just curious as to whether I should report it on eBay. It's bad enough that the seller is trying to make a £900 profit per ticket.

Well, the seller responded very quickly. Here it is: "hello, without getting into too much detail, this will not be a problem...the winning bidder will be able to collect the tickets with themselves and their guest on their own time completely...there will be no need to meet anyone to be escorted in or collect the tickets from" HUH? WTF?!?

Ha ha. I just sent the seller the following question. I'll let you know what the response is once I get it. I'm curious what the seller says. I have a feeling I either won't get an answer, or they will just plain lie. "How do you propose that the buyer(s) enter the venue? ID/credit card info of the original purchaser needs to be shown at the venue, since it specifically says on the seeticket site that none of the tickets will be mailed out, they will all need to be picked up at the venue. Are you going to accompany the buyer(s) to the event, show your info, and then give the tickets to them?"

Hey, I just looked at the ticket site, and it says this: It says the Standing seats are sold out for Liverpool, but doesn't say anything for Newcastle. Maybe there are still some available?...

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Is she hinting at something? Essentially, "I wouldn't have told you about those two gigs, just like I wouldn't tell you about a London gig."

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
Sickening. And the username... "ireekofawesumnes". Whatever. And I don't think it will work, because they won't ship the tickets to the U.S. so they would have to be picked up at the venue. And you need the original ID/credit card for that so...

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
Wow. :| Since yesterday I've been trying to finagle something to get the 20th off so I can go to the Liverpool gig (and get back home in time to work on Tuesday). I still don't have an answer yet. The intent was to consider one of the auction options, but I didn't expect the prices to be so high that quickly. I haven't looked at the auction site yet, but how are they doing it? For the x number of auction tickets, do they have a separate auction for each individual ticket? Or is it one cumulative auction and they take the highest x number of bidders? If you recall from the EODCS last year when they auctioned the lithographs, they had them up separately so the final prices varied by as much as £200 because people were bidding on a specific one.

I don't even know how selling on eBay would work anyway, because the seller would have to agree to show up there. I mean I suppose that's possible, but the whole idea of it is just... ugh. :|

I don't remember if there is a 4-hour or 5-hour time difference for me. How many hours from now (or I suppose from wisna's post) do the tickets go on sale?

Distracted driving to the extreme
Seriously? A book between the dashboard and steering wheel. A Kindle in his left hand. A cell phone in his right hand. Makes me wonder what his feet are doing. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR1iUmq6ilA&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - [ORIGINAL VIDEO] Multitasking While Driving - And You Thought Texting Was Bad[/ame] So what's the worst case of distracted driving you have witnessed? The most recent one for me was this morning... I saw some dude SHAVING while driving on I-75 going about 70mph (110km/h). :|

Help.-
I agree, it is likely a pinched nerve. Maybe a disk in your neck slipped just a little out of place too, to cause it. I've had that happen before (although the pain I had was only in my neck and head).

Coldplay to play intimate charity gigs in Newcastle and Liverpool in December!!! :D
Well, I think they can send the tickets, but apparently people have had a lot of problems with that site. And if you're overseas, don't even try it. I guess the only thing I'm not entirely sure of at this point, is if you do have them delivered and you already have them in your hand once you get there, is whether they would still ask you for ID. That part I don't know.

Okay I know I'm being really picky here, but... Can a mod (or Craig) please change the title of the thread to say intimate instead of intimite? After seeing that the past few days, I'm starting to have grammar/spelling-nazi convulsions.
