  1. That oatmeal website is hilarious! There is so much cool stuff. "If you put an A in 'definitely', then you're definitely an A-hole." EDIT: Ha Showbiz, we posted at the same time!
  2. They said that in the article? Gosh I must have missed that. :| When I was that age, my sister and I would crank up Olivia Newton John on the record player. "I wanna get physical, physical; I wanna get animal, animal." Do you think we knew what it meant to "get animal"? No. But the song just sounded cool and we could groove to it.
  3. That too. And vice versa. And the whole there/they're/their thing. THERE is a place. If you want to say THEY ARE, use THEY'RE. Everything else is THEIR. Again I want to reiterate, I know it can be confusing for people who learn english as a second language; but for those who have it as a first language, there is no excuse.
  4. My Physics teacher used to pronounce rollercoaster as "rolleycoaster". And nuclear as "nucular".
  5. I would have never guessed that you're insecure about that. Your english seems perfect to me!
  6. And this is my point. I can certainly understand if it is someone's second language, in that case it doesn't bother me. But when I see fellow U.S.-ers on here, who are supposedly in school, constantly use it incorrectly... I just find it irritating. Basically it makes me question our education system. :|
  7. The abbreviation for YOU ARE is YOU'RE. Not YOUR. Thanks bunches for your aniticpated cooperation.
  8. Isn't there something called Christian Rock? They can't possibly think that sounds satanic, even though it's rock-y. Or will they say, "oh, that's different, just all the other stuff is satanic."
  9. The story being referred to is in my local area. The parents probably reported it to the local news, but it was the station's decision to air it. Like you all said, for the, "oh, lookey here at our news station" factor. However, a nice follow-up story came out of it. A bunch of people donated money/etc. for her to go on a shopping spree at a local toy store, ride there in a limo, all sorts of cool stuff to cheer her up. She looked genuinely happy. Doesn't change what that woman did, but at least it brought a smile to the little girl's face.
  10. But alas, the little pink ponies will still win because they are so small that the big mean dino can't chew on them. The little pink ponies will dig their way into the dino's gums between the teeth and cause an infected abscess, and the infection will spread to the rest of the dino's body, causing a severe fever which will reach the point of damaging the dino's vital organs. The pink ponies will then pop out of the dino's gums before it dies. Pink pony win.
  11. Maybe he saved the trimmings to make an all-natural, warm fluffy winter hat :|
  12. After reading the last few pages I'm craving Taco Smell :blank:
  13. Congratulations Makayla, that's such a lovely story on your blog! I still can't get over Jonny's beard; it looks so... Santa-y. :santa3:
  14. NumbersGirl replied to Lore's topic in The Lounge
Are we talking about the number of "visitors", or the number of members viewing?
  15. Dude I just saw the pic with Makayla on Anna's facebook... HE'S WEARING THE SAME BACK TO THE FUTURE SHIRT that he wore yesterday!!! I think he's intentionally doing that to annoy R#44!
  16. ^ That. This is the closest thing I could find, collectible/limited availability, but notice it says "release cancelled". http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=2011CLA11-27
  17. I went to Calendars.com and did a search on Coldplay. The result was: "Sorry, your search for Coldplay returned no results" :blank: But if someting exists on UK Amazon, you can still order it from here, it doesn't matter that it's the UK version.
  18. NumbersGirl replied to darkhorse's topic in New Members
I have a feeling it is because Guy is referred to as the "dark horse" of the band. :D
  19. :surprised: Really? We never got the day off, even though our school was one of the polling locations (they held it in the gym).
  20. I was thinking the exact same thing! It makes me wish I still had my '85 Buick Regal, it had those fuzzy velvety seats, even the same color! I could just rub my hands on the seat and pretend it was his fuzzy head!
  21. Congratulations ladies! Love his shirt, hilarious! Although I suppose Roadie #44 would disagree about the shirt...
