  1. :wacky: Me too. Although that was a relatively recent development. I used to think X&Y was the best album. Now I lean more toward AROBTTH. I think the reason why is because after learning of the band's general displeasure with the recording process for X&Y, I almost kind of feel bad/guilty listening to it.
  2. Hey miss receptionist security guard lady... could you please shave your mustache?
  3. Yeah there wasn't much newsworthy going on at the time so they had to dig up a story that would ruffle people's feathers. Accomplished. And then some.
  4. Well now we've got the information "straight from the horse's mouth", so to speak. I assumed they would release it between June and August like they did with the other 4, so it looks like that may indeed happen now. In regard to the tour though... if they leave a longer gap between the release and the start of the tour, I wonder if that means they're not going to do two rounds like they did before? You know, the arena gigs in fall/winter and the "shed" gigs in the spring/summer? I'd hate to make group plans assuming they'll do the shed gig again, and then it turns out they won't do it (then I should have done the group plans for the arena, but at that point it would be too late to change the plans). :\

    Welcome! :nice:
  6. ^^ Exactly. Even if you have someone's permission for you to try to beat them up, it still wouldn't fly.
  7. ^ Yes, Florida does have the death penalty. However, if you're implying he should get the death penalty if people are killed as a direct result of / response to his actions, I don't think it would fly. He couldn't be charged with murder; at best he might be charged with involuntary manslaughter, which does not warrant the death penalty.
  8. After reading the story, I think this is long from over. Terry Jones said he was calling off the event after the group behind a planned Islamic centre near Ground Zero in New York agreed to relocate it. But the cultural centre's organisers said they had no plans to move it. And the pastor goes on to say, "If it's not moved, then I think Islam is a very poor example of religion. I think that would be very pitiful. I do not expect that." Wow. Just... wow.

  10. I think her 4 minutes is up
  11. Good point. I'm sure they'll post the pics directly here later on.
  12. Hmmm. With that logic, I can make up a "sport" that involves running around a block and spray-painting the face eyes & hair of the first person I come across. That's physically demanding (running); the rule is that I can't use black spray paint; and the first one in the competition that accomplishes the task (must have spray painted all 3, face eyes & hair) is the winner. No, methinks the police would snag the participants of that "sport" pretty quick.
  13. ^ :stunned: That seems a bit Big Brother-ish. Section 4 appears on the surface to define the offenses pretty well, but I'd still think there'd be fuzzy areas. One person may think a particular thing incites, another person may not (if it falls into the fuzzy area). It makes sense from a "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" standpoint, but to implement it by law... I dunno.
  14. ^ Don't forget to ask Will where he gets all of his lovely scarves.
  15. Maybe the Bistro makes cakes for him on a regular basis
  16. No, I don't think there is any type of law like that here. At least, not explicitly relating to religion. The big thing over here is separation of church and state. That's why we left Engerland centuries ago, you know; for religious freedom. Separation of church and state... so much so, that they are considered tax-exempt entities. Obama mentioned that they might be able to cite him for burning stuff (regardless of what it may be) if it violates local law. Basically, if he doesn't have/get a Burning Permit, they could cite him for that. But I think that's all that can be done legally.
  17. True. I suppose my question would apply toward any "sport" that is strictly about hand-on-hand combat. On that note, I don't see how fighting has evolved into an integral part of the NHL. The refs just stand there and let them do it until they subjectively decide, "okay, that's enough".
  18. Question: When someone unfriends you, do you get notification that they unfriended you? Or is it that you just happened to notice that they were no longer on your friends list?
  19. Nope. Dark brown hair, blue eyes.
  20. That guy is such a tool. HE is an extremist. The vast majority of people here don't think the way that numnut does. One reporter asked him "What Would Jesus Do"; he responded that Jesus would do the same thing. Okay, I'm no expert on Christianity, but I highly doubt Jesus would go burn a bunch of Korans.
  21. I suppose I'm the exception then. For some reason yellow looks good on me.
  22. Ah. :nice: Well Anna and Imke are both wonderful; they definitely deserved that Coldplaying karma!
  23. Can someone explain to me how boxing is a "sport"? If you did that anywhere else in public you'd get arrested for assault, etc.
