oy I just realized that I still need to post my ideal concert setlist I always planned on having TASOO on my ideal setlist as the impossible expectation, but now that they've debuted it I can actually have a realistic hope. Of course, they probably will have long since buried it by the time the Detroit show rolls around; but at least we have a record of it on YouTube.

What?!? Where did I say (or even imply) that I enjoy the thought of it? Why would you make that kind of assumption? And as you indicated, you're saying that I don't think of it as a last resort; I certainly never did. Of course I would much rather bolt out the door or window if I was near one and could easily escape. Or in an ideal scenario, if I'm near my keys get in my car and go to the local police station. If those options weren't viable, maybe lock myself in a room with the phone to call 911. In the worst case scenario, if push comes to shove then I might have to resort to what I already mentioned (because I don't have a gun as an option). So, I'm evil because I simply previously stated what I would do if a burglar was in my home and I didn't have a gun (guns are the topic of the thread) and used a different weapon instead of a gun. But wait... in the above paragraph I mentioned 3 more things I would do based on the situation. And since simply stating what I would do is odd/evil, according to that train of thought it would now make me evil x 4. I'm not sure why you felt the need to latch onto something that I didn't even say (i.e., you made up that I would "enjoy it" thinking that nobody would notice) to make me look like an awful person. And there must be something eating away at you, because when I agreed with someone else about sporting activities related to certain guns you quipped, "This explains why you're so authoritarian, you want to snipe our heads off." Sporting has nothing to do with people (which you probably know), yet you felt the need to use it as a way to rip on me. And you indicate that you already thought I was "so authoritarian"; so you've obviously got some sort of beef with me, and latched on to things here to prove your "point" although I have a hard time saying that because any "point" you were trying to make is invalid due to the presence of inappropriate assumptions and outright untruths. I'll try to just leave it there, because by now people will be able to see what's what, regardless of whether or not I've convinced you. I hope you don't try to randomly latch onto anything further and turn it into something it's not; there's no need to derail this thread any further.

Fair enough. But I'm not really sure how that makes me evil (which you did say). At least, not sure how it makes me any more evil than someone who would openly admit that they might shoot someone that breaks into their house if it came right down to it. Me + bat = evil, but anybody else + gun = not evil? No, it's not like that at all. Knocking someone down with a bat so they can't get up and run away (and then do the same thing to somebody else), so that the police can come and arrest them and they can face justice in the court of law; I don't see how that compares to your reference of tearing off body parts for fun. How could you think that?

Self defense with a gun is apparently horrible, and according to you I guess now using a bat is evil, so I suppose instead I'll just wither and let him do whatever he wants to me. That's the smartest thing to do, because I don't want to look evil in Reilly's eyes.

If you really want to know, indeed I have broken TWO chicks' noses before. Of course it's their fault for not wearing facemasks while catching my pitches and not anticipating the drop ball would drop and the rise ball would rise. WHAT A SHOCK THAT THE STYLE OF PITCH WOULD DO WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. edit: And now that I think about it, at a tournament I knocked another girl's teeth out (opposing team) when she leaned over the plate whilst bunting. Her fault for putting her head in the strike zone. I sound so evil. But really I'm not.

You're kind of missing our point of why her and I think using a sniper rifle would be cool. I don't want to snipe people. It's the satisfaction of being really good at something, hitting a very small target from really far away. Kind of like the satisfaction of being a pitcher in high school and being able to hit the target no matter where it was, pitching fast balls / change-ups / drops / rises in specific spots in and outside the strike zone and being on point every time. It takes skill; mad skills that very few people have.

But people don't break into your house just to say hello. You have to defend yourself or run like you've never run before. Or hide. I don't have a gun but if I did I certainly wouldn't be afraid to use it and I wouldn't be worrying about whether I have to prove it was self defense. Actually I have a baseball bat handy so I'd just use that instead. Sneak from around the corner, bust his kneecaps or his back, call 911 and stand over him with the bat still in my hand until the police arrive.

OMG I LOVE YOU I want to compete in female NRA sniper rifle contests. But I've never shot a real gun so that dream is far far far away in the recesses of my mind. :| I think I would have mad sniper skills though. There's a fake-shooting (I think it uses lasers) skill thing at a huge local outdoor store here that has various tiny targets on objects/stuffed animals/landscapes and I sniped like 39 of the 40 targets. Hubby looked at me like he was in the presence of some scary freak of nature. It depends. As long as they own the gun legally, in most cases it is self defense and they wouldn't have any kind of punishment for it. I think there is some sort of broad rule (that is very hard to prove) that if the person wasn't believably in any real danger, then they could go to jail/prison/whatever. So in general if it is in self defense, nothing would happen to them.

It probably won't die out, but it won't be what it once was. I know this probably isn't quite what you are referring to, but is a similar sign of the times. Handwriting (cursive) curriculum has already been eliminated from many schools here. Yeah that's what I'm starting to think. It would be one thing if I were going to more than one show (I could take more pics/vids during one). But I'm only going to one, and I want to really enjoy it. I'm sure lots of other people will take videos and post them on YouTube to help me remember after the fact. :D

She should probably contact the person/company and ask if there is any kind of refund if she is refused entry. And if the person indicates "well we haven't had any problems before", then she should point them in the direction of this new rule.
