Ugh... Just can't believe this. Waited in line in London for hours, didn't get a copy. and then I get home and check ebay and there's a SH*TLOAD of them on there for nowhere near £7.99. This makes me so angry...

Ye well... To all those who's opinions don't reflect mine: And that, as they say, is that.

But for me it's not just about quality, it's about how you feel when you listen to the music. I mean Paradise came out yesterday and i've played and sung along with it so many times now it's just a fun song to listen to and sing. So what if the lyrics aren't as good as UATW or See You Soon (arguably), Paradise as a song still makes me happy, and that's why I'm gonna listen to it many more times :) Also, what's with all the hate on the 'Every tear a waterfall' line? I love self-references, I don't understand why people are hating on it so much?

Here's another opinion... Alright so here's my opinion, just for the sake of discussion: Upon first listening to Paradise, i was really unsure of the direction they were taking. But after a couple of listens, it's so clear that the old Coldplay is still there, beneath the synthesizers and what some of you call overproduction. And I like the new direction. ETIAW and Paradise are fantastic songs that will have everyone singing along when they go on tour. Let's not forget that songs like Us Against The World sound like they're fantastic little things that Coldplay could have created back when they made Parachutes, it sounds almost like it should have been on that album. And then Charlie brown sounds like something Chris could've come up with in between X&Y and Viva La Vida a few years ago, it's right in the middle of it. That's why I personally love this band, they make bold moves into the unknown, but they always have something for the fans of the older sound (MTM, UATW,etc.), AND the newer sound. Honestly, if this was the Parachutes era and we were waiting for AROBTTH, and we heard Politik as a single, I think some of us would have been very disappointed with the new, louder direction. Coldplay's not a singles band, so don't approach them as if they were. To summarize: let's wait until the album comes out (because it IS supposed to be a concept album) and reserve judgement until then. But I, for one, having heard all the songs from the festivals plus the new singles, am very much looking forward to October 24th :)

I honestly can't wait for the single... If someone lives in England please send me a physical copy, I promise I'll send you some money in the post :D :D :D

Lyrics_are_awesome Why is everyone so negative about the lyrics??? I'm really getting into them now, someone mentioned their similarity to Rainy Day, and he/she was totally right! I think things like 'Heaven is in sight' are right up their alley. No, I'm not expecting anything on Monday... I'm hopeful for Tuesday though ;)

I love how they merged like, 2 or 3 lines at least from wedding bells :)

Hi guys, me again :) I have been looking EVERYWHERE for the (seemingly very rare) blue embossed promo of 'what if' . Seeing as I am about to obtain embossed versions of all the other singles from the X&Y era, this is a major gap in my collection right now, and it's driving me crazy :mad: so please, I ask you guys to help me find one :) :) I did this before, with the lovers in japan promo, and everybody helped me out a great deal ( thanks guys :cool: ) I'm not sure whether this is actually the right way to go about it, so if you have any suggestions as to where i should ask, please do tell me :) Thanks :)
