The Snow Patrol Thread
Hi Jen! Thanks for the welcome. Merry and I Really are twin sisters :D But no my other fave is NOT Nickelback. My other fave hasn't been played on mainstream radio in about 6 yrs ;) But really...enough about me! :P Snow Patrol was awesome when they opened for U2. Gary Lightbody was so hysterical and really got the crowed interested and engaged. In fact, the crowd randomly started chanting "SHUT YOUR EYES AND SING TO ME" and Gary and the entire ban just stopped and looked like they were about to cry. Gary got on his knees in order to praise/thank us. It was a really great moment!!

Just refuting Merry's claims from above. Not that it matters, but my other favorites are not Girls Aloud OR Backstreet Boys.

The Snow Patrol Thread
What an intellectually stimulating question Mer, although I've come to expect from you, my twin sister. :dozey: I'd have to pick Coldplay + my other favorite band. Coldplay is just the best band I have ever seen live. I don't get the same experience from other bands, so I would pick them every single time. Add in my other favorite band (which will remain a mystery in order for me to maintain my credibility), and I just couldn't say no. It would probably be the greatest night of my life. Mer I'm glad you picked Coldplay. U2 was underwhelming at Gillette. Snow Patrol on the other hand was awesome.

front row tickets
My sister and I were in front row (pit) for the Mansfield show. We had originally bought tickets in section 7 like months in advance. But about a month before the show my sis checked again and bought tickets for the pit and we sold the other ones. From what I understand, the front seats are reserved for guests of the band/crew etc but once they have their reservations in, the what's left opens up. A couple years ago I had lawn seats to a concert and the DAY OF the concert I went to the box office early and got seats within the first 10 rows because they had been released that day (bc they weren't needed by the bands/crew). The only advice I can give is to just keep checking, because we certainly didn't get them too far in advance.

Elbow was seriously phenomenal! The stage presence of the band really got me, not to mention the fact that I heard "One Day Like This" for the first time, and it was amazing. :) They were a great choice to open for Coldplay! And needless to say, Coldplay put on the best show ever that night! (I think I say that after every Coldplay concert I go to :wiseguy: )

My camera and vid taking skills aren't as good as Merry's, but nevertheless here are some from the Pitt show. Notice as I zoom in/out the audio speeds up. :dozey: [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame]

I had only heard "Grounds for Divorce" before, but seeing them open for Coldplay made me love Elbow. I especially like "One Day Like This"- it's beautiful. The Mansfield show was great, I thought. My sis and I (merryberry9) were in the front row of the pit, and the employee there said it was the first sell-out of the CC's season. I don't have the best camera, but here is a short vid I took - right before my camera died during the intro. :dozey: [ame= ] [/ame]

THE **I LOVE HARRY POTTER** THREAD
In my opinion, the scene in the book was necessary to prove that Ron is more than what people think he is. Obviously he will be upset over the fact that the love of his life is kissing his best friend. But the point of it was that he was completely UNweak in the fact that he got over it and stabbed that horcrux to death! I think it's an amazing scene, and you can't understand how strong he was unless you understand how weak he started out. Just my 2 cents. I've read they've already filmed "the kiss". ;)

THE **I LOVE HARRY POTTER** THREAD
I heard about this. I don't recall him being completely nude when he jumped into the water to get the sword, and also when "Harry and Hermione" kiss, it was sort of just swirling vapors with their heads, not showing anything. Unfortunately, as a big Ron/Rupert Grint fan, I'm hoping all the nakedness doesn't take attention away from the true importance of the scene- Ron's most important scene. I also read that they have added an "intimate" scene between Harry and Hermione after Ron leaves. Why are they still pushing Harry-Hermione onto us? For the movie goers who don't read the books, it'll be like out of left field when Ron and Hermione get together at the end.
