maybe ur right, idk...but those are songs that rewuire me to be in a specific mood to listen to them, and when i want to listen to them they really are amazing...i like yellow because im always in the mood to listen to it

ya, above average songs on parachutes include YELLOW!!!!!, shiver, sparks, trouble, dont panic, and the unfortunately short parachutes....high speed, we never change, and spies werent that great although still good

i also dissagree with a lot of these because i think viva and yellow are seen as the best songs on their albums because they actually are, i just love everything about them... LiJ is also amazing and i guess VH is overrated but its still incredible

i see your point, but i only became a HUGEEE Coldplay fan about a year ago so i never had really heard many of these songs before, even clocks...............but i do think that i have overplayed several songs, but theyre usually not the hits anyway so it doesnt matter, what i wanted to establish with this thread was the fact that while Coldplay is viewed as one of (if not the best as we think they are) bands in the world by people who have only listened to the hits....so naming all the songs that are better just proves how great the band really is if only all these songs got played on the radio, there would be about seven billion members on this website btw i think coldplay is way underplayed on the radio, even the hits

o ya i definitely think AROBTTH is just a little bit better than GPASUYF, but no way is Yellow worse than Sparks!! sparks is great too but Yellow was probably the most important song for Coldplay's career and it was Flipping brilliant

hmm thats interesting, i disagree because i actually do think vava was the best on the album, but their were so many incredible songs on that album including DAAHF so its hard to pick a favorite i used to only like the end of DAAHF but im starting to really like the beginning too, and the LRLRL version is so awesome at the beginning with nothing but Chris singing

It seems like a lot of widely known aren't even the best song on its album...like to me it seems like theres so many Coldplay songs that don't get attention (from people other than us Coldplayers...). So just say a "Miss" that you think is better than a Hit.... like: Lovers in Japan > Clocks I feel like Clocks was deemed the best song of AROBTTH when it really wasnt, although it was a great song anyways...

lol ^^ people have some weird dreams... ive only seen chris in my dreams and that happened twice, once he was giving a presentation to my class about how awesome it was to be in Coldplay and then my favorite comedian, Demetri Martin, gave a presentation on comedy which is when i realised that many of my favorite people have the last name Martin... the second happened Friday Night, he didnt say anything really but i was just walking with him telling him how awesome he was i also had a dream where everyone at my school was sad so i started playing yellow and everyone was happy again!!!! :) And then last night i heard viva and christmas lights playing at my school too

i havent listened to solid ground in soooo long, so i guess thats gonna be my favorite today (but my favorite song ever is Fix You)
