New Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere: Yes comrades. How art thou? So... we fuckin' smashed it, eh? It was a nice surprise, the HFB album going in at #1. Thanks for that. A proud moment. Commiserations to young Mr. Cardle, whom I met the other night. Nice lad. Lovely hat AND scarf!! The big story of the last few days was, of course, the righteous Man City's total and utter humiliation of The Evil Empire. A result so shocking my 4 year old, who knows nothing about anything that isn't a dinosaur, said, "That's really bad, isn't it dad?" To which I laughed into his face and raised him aloft like a human world cup until he requested that I put him down. A result so awe-inspiring that it rendered the 1st NGHFB gig almost irrelevant. Was it any good? Don't ask me. I felt like it flew by in about 30 mins! I enjoyed it, mind. It did leave me with a bit of food for thought regarding the set list. All good though. Legged it straight off stage to the airport where my private jet THE G-FIRM was fired up and ready to fly home to London. Had to be on top form at them Q awards. Got myself a nice little Q ICON award and more importantly, and somewhat surprisingly, a blimmin' standing ovation!!!! I liked it a lot!!!! More of those, please. Spent the rest of the day drinking and smoking my arse off. Which meant yesterday was spent on the couch watching the repeats of the total and utter humiliation of Man United (which was where aforementioned child-lifting took place). I am currently on a high-speed train up north heading to the great city of Manchester. Playing the Apollo tonight. Coming on to 'Blue Moon'. Should be interesting!!! IN A BIT! GD. And also, today is my birthday! I hope Noel changes a little bit the setlist for tonight gig.

I got robbed today..
Oh God! I'm so sorry for you but glad that you are ok. Here in Argentina it is the same. I was never been robbed (maybe because I lived so many years in Europe) but all my family members have suffered the insecurity, even with a gun in the middle of the day. A hope you don't have to suffer this again. Be careful.

He is so funny! For those who can't read it (you have to register on his webpage) here it is: Yes comrades. It's been a long time. Some might say too long. I say just long enough. A quick re-cap then? Nah… too much has been said. That was then, this is now. Some cat's still out there. Still doing the haka. The rest of us have moved on. It's all good though, the glass always being half full 'n' all that… Cheers!!!! So... where we at now? Well, we be at some hotel or other in the great city of Dublin, in the Republic of Ireland. The home of the brave. Preparing for the event that will be a pivotal moment in mine and maybe ALL our lives. It will certainly define the future as we know it. Nerves are a-jingling and a-jangling. Palms are sweaty already and the damn thing ain't for another 24 hours!!! Been through this a thousand times before. Can't remember ever feeling like this though. I'm sure I won't sleep tonight. Too tense. A bad performance tomorrow and it could kill this thing before it's even started. On the other hand, a good performance and the sky's the limit. Either way, it's time to put up, or shut up!!! I don't know why I'm putting myself through this. God knows I don't have to. Addicted, I guess. It's been looming on the horizon for what seems like a lifetime now. I wish it was Monday and it was all out of the way so we could all just move on and let the future look after itself… I don't mind admitting to you comrades... I'M SHITTIN' IT... HARD!!!!!!! I am, of course, referring to the Manchester derby. City v United. Blue v Red. The Rebel Alliance v The Evil Empire. 1pm. Live from the Death Star. Sky Sports 1HD. Get on it. It's gonna be colossal. WE ARE CITY. LOVE FOOTBALL. HATE UNITED. Ps: Did I mention the gig at the Olympia? Onstage at 9pm. Don't be late!!!! IN A BIT. GD. General Dread is back!

UK Midweek Chart Update: Gallagher to break through 100,000 sales barrier 11:45 | Friday October 21, 2011 By Paul Williams Noel Gallagher’s debut solo set is on course to become the first album for more than a month to sell more than 100,000 copies in a week in the UK after establishing a commanding lead on midweek sales figures. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, issued on the Sour Marsh label, had sold 94,447 copies up to the end of trading on Thursday since its release at the beginning of the week, more than 40,000 ahead of nearest challenger Letters by Columbia/Syco’s Matt Cardle. Sony’s Steps album The Ultimate Collection is in third place, according to Official Charts Company figures. The last album to sell more than six figures in a week was Asylum/Atlantic act Sheeran’s +, which debuted at number one in mid-September after shifting 102,350 copies. Columbia’s Kasabian were just 6,000 sales shy of 100,000 the following week after arriving at one with Velociraptor, but the last three weeks’ number one sales dipped respectively to 62,181, 36, 411 (both James Morrison’s Island album The Awakening) and 34,200 (Steps’ The Ultimate Collection). It remains very close at the top of the singles market between Def Jam/Mercury’s Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris single We Found Love and Global Talent/Island’s The Wanted with Lightning with the Rihanna track only around 6,000 sales ahead at the end of business yesterday. Yes!! Come on Noel!! :)

Yes, I think it was a small crowd but I don't know how many people was in there.

If he was ill then why there is not an official explanation or apologies like in Zurich? I think that was not the reason. I heard in Youtube The Morning Son and he was signing fine and then, in the last part, he left the stage. I don't want to think that this has to be with Noel's record but... I don't know if this is true but I read an interview with Liam in a Austrian paper and he said this: On Noel: "He's a fucking liar and a square. He's not a rockstar, he's a fucking lobbyist." ...NGHFB: "It's the most boring piece of shit I've ever heard in my entire life. It makes Coldplay sound like Jimi Hendrix." ...Oasis reunion: "If we have to do it , for whatever fucking reasons, then so be it. Then I'm there. But the thought of going on stage with this fucker makes me sick." ...new BDI tour: "We will be playing new stuff - but no Oasis songs. It's too early. I'll probably be singing them in a few years. Only assholes like Noel Gallagher play Oasis songs now." He is so angry right now with Noel. :shocked2:

Beady Eye
I saw this post in Live4ever: I am a loyal fan and have been since 1996. I've seen Oasis and Beady Eye many times(also bad Kermit-shows like Valby Hallen 2005 and Glasto 2004), but this one was the worst moment ever. Yes the crowd was small and didn't move much, but i also saw Beady Eye at Jelling festival where the played to almost nobody. There they were in a good mood and played well. Yesterday they we're so unispired that they didn't stand a chance in front of a crowd that doesn't know them very well. New bands have to proove themselves.. Liam sang ok, but he spend the whole gig talking the sound guy at the side of the stage. Through the whole gig i tried to sing along and have a good time, but by the end i had to admit to myself that it is shit. On top of that they played less than an hour, and didn't bother doing an encore even though people shouted for them. I traveled a long way and payed 400 danish kroner, to see them and i'm pissed of.. I guess Liam's sick of playing the set, and doesn't really want to do more shows on this tour, but then he should cancel and give people their money back. Unless their next album blow me away, i wont bother paying for a Beady Eye ticket in the future. This is what I'm talking about. It's so sad.

A lot of people on Facebook said that Liam left the stage yesterday in Copenhagen after The Morning Son. They didn't play Wigwam and the encore. There is no explanation yet. Some people say it was because of the crowd (they were like dead), others because Liam was ill. If it was because of the crowd, that's a horrible thing to do. I'm sure there were some fans in there and they paid to listen an entire setlist.
