These days I feel the same connection with Coldplay. During the last tour in Chicago, Chris tried to play Amsterdam because a fan requested it. U2 every so often brings a fan on stage to play a song. It's that connection with fans that makes it special for me. Chris seems so genuine and humble. Hope they stay around for a long long time.

U2 was my favorite band until recently. I'd say Coldplay is 1 and U2 is 1a. They are the only two bands I would (and have travelled cross country to see. In 2005, I stood outside in Cleveland for a GA spot by the stage. -17 that day. We were in line from about 2am until 6:30 the next day. Shook Bono's hand from the stage. Awesome!!!

Looks like the secondary stage is near sec 101-102. If that's it , it's about 5 rows behind me. :)

Departing tomorrow around 9am. Should roll into Chi-town about 1 or 2pm give or take a few stops. Anyone else staying at the Mariot on South Ashland?

Anyone staying at the Best Western on Highland? Looks like a short walk from there the the HB. I get in LAX around 11:30, then heading to Manhattan Beach for a couple hours. Weather looks a little chili but hopefully no rain. Just a few more days folks. Can't wait!!!

Got my airline tix, car and hotel...now I just need a ticket to the show. Staying at the Best Western near the Bowl. Anyone been there...supposed to be a short walk to the ahow. I gey in around 11am.... nearby must sees?

Still kicking myself for not going to Lollaplooza...not missing these though!! Saw U2 at the United Center during the Vertigo tour...as I recall, it's a very nice venue and fairly easy to get around.

Got tickets for both shows...staying at the Marriott at Medical district/UIC..anyone else stayting there on the 7th? I'm driving home after the 2nd show (5 hours to Cincy... YOWZA!!!) It's a shame the Cubs aren't in town until the 9th (and it's my Reds too!!)...anyway, what's good to do during the day on the 8th?
