  1. [ATTACH]32823[/ATTACH] The photo is from the Twitter app's "moments" page. Their "final" album? I don't think so >_>
  2. Thanks man! :D I sincerely appreciate it :)
  3. Thanks guys! @TheChampion, she does have a very good voice! My voice was extremely tired this night, it normally doesn't sound as weak/unsupported. I was singing all day the whole academic day prior. In terms of a pop style, she's far more experienced, however :). Thanks though! This is why I'm not a vocal performance major ;D
  4. Hey everybody! At my university, my girlfriend and I covered UATW at the music school's open mic night. It's a cute/meaningful little love song, in my opinion, so I figured why not cover it with my lovely herself? :) Enjoy, and let me know what you think! :D [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4EPr1GMd0Y]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4EPr1GMd0Y[/ame]
  5. Agreed. UWTB is one - if not THE - of the best tracks on the album. It's absolutely gorgeous, with his little voice trills haunting the ambience. It's quite well-thought out and inspired, in my opinion.
  6. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2a4kXxKt1A]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2a4kXxKt1A[/ame] This is my most recent single. I basically recorded/produced this in no more than 2 days...I had a couple days off from my summer job and took advantage of the time :) Tell me what you think!
  7. One of the biggest things, truthfully, is simply to HAVE FUN! Yes, there comes a time when having fun with awful quality will get you no where. Assuming you're asking for performance tips, you probably know what you're doing musically. Don't be afraid to let yourself go! You've seen Chris during his singing solo performances...he spins around and literally does backrolls onstage. Enjoy yourself :)
  8. Thanks :) Spread it around to all your fellow Coldplay fans :D
  9. Bumpity bump :). Two people disliked the video and one of which messaged me asking "Why are there no instruments?" People can be so dumb hahahahah
  10. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igRK8PZKcnA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igRK8PZKcnA[/ame] This is my most recent 'Single'. It's dedicated to my graduating high school class of 2011 :). [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WqYmiUhlQY]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WqYmiUhlQY[/ame] Moonlight is short, but sweet. I wrote that one in a matter of an hour or so for a friend of mine having a terrible night. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PPG9y18jNI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PPG9y18jNI[/ame] Tears of Insanity was my first 'single' with more recent equipment. It personifies my anxiety disorder (any reference to You), plus the "Jekyll & Hyde" type bridge at the end. Enjoy everything guys!
  11. Thanks guys! I had 14 tracks including the whistle :)
  12. This is going to sound silly, but what I do is carry around a little notebook in my back pocket every day. I mention this because you spoke of writing words down that you like. Next time you're out and about and you hear someone mention a word or use a word in context that you really like, write it down! A single word can sometimes speak more than a full sentence :)
  13. It really does depend on your 'method.' For example: I have to have my music first/a melody of note-by-note before applying lyrics. Music speaks more than words in my head, so certain emotions are portrayed at first by melody or chord changes. I know PLENTY of people that do lyrics first then apply the music and chords, etc. It's all about what works for you! And believe me, not every song you write is going to be a masterpiece. You have to find which ones sound/work the best and from that, continue working on it. Look at the list of songs Chris Martin had on that wall! I can guarantee you probably only a quarter of them were produced 100%. If you wanna check out my most recent original, check this one out. I did the chord progressions first, then applied lyrics. The riding bass in the beginning allowed the theme to come forth, then the changing bass after the first verse kinda broke the tension. But again, I work a little differently than most. You can do it with a little practice! I've only been writing for less than two years! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igRK8PZKcnA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igRK8PZKcnA[/ame]
  14. Hey guys! So technically I'm a new 'member,' but I've always hung around this site, viewing news, photos, threads, etc. It's been such a help in following the best band ever :). In any case, I wanted to share with everyone my a capella cover of ETIAW. I know there's one up there already, with a video and such. I don't have the camera work for that, just the creative brain for the musicality hahahah. I hope this is the right board to post this! Either way, enjoy :) Let me know what you think!
