  1. Same here, I am not tracking it, as it is my neighbour country, but I posted it about 3 weeks ago. I also had two secret santas that I never heard of, not even when I sent a private message to say it was lost in transit in one of the cases.
  2. Hello everybody! I was the last one to sign on, I actually had missed the deadline … but Santa Claus was so nice as to add me on last minutes since he had not drawn the matches yet. And then I was probably the first one to receive my card and gifts! It arrived before December and I contacted AndreaF to say thanks, but it took me until now to upload and select some pictures. I got a lovely painted card in black and gold with a guitar and the text of Everyday Life, as well as artfully decorated baubles also in black and gold with Coldplay and a sun and moon emblem. Even the Christmas card was handmade. Really very arty and wonderful gifts. The chocolate balls in the little tree were also very cute. My daughter always loves it when there is milk chocolate in the parcel, as she gets to eat it then, since I only eat dark chocolate because of intolerances. In addition to that I received a card from snowwhite who was my last year’s Secret Santa, and she had read that I missed the deadline. How sweet is that!
  3. @Coeurli, I am so glad everything arrived safely. I had two secret santas in the past that did not make it to their destination, so this is very pleasant indeed. If you need a recipe for the cookie cutters please let me know!
  4. Hello everybody, my Secret Santa arrived last week already, but for the first time ever I did not open it straight away when it came. I was far too busy with other stuff and wanted to give it undivided attention. Also my family is nowadays as excited as I am, since especially my daughter gets to eat the milk chocolates that I unfortunately cannot eat :). So we agreed on a day and time that is convenient for all of us and we opened it festively on Saturday afternoon with a cup of tea! Thank you so much dear @Snowwhite for your lovely package. It was so neatly packed and beautifully decorated. I will definitely keep the box. I really appreciate that you searched the threads and found out about X&Y. It was indeed when I got to know them, and I have fond memories of back then. We lived in England at this time and I saw them on talkshows, the Brit Awards and they were playing Fix you and Square one, in the gym I remember to cycle to videos from this album. Also „What if“ is a great song. However it is hard to decide what is my favourite album. So back to the point, I really like the X&Y coaster and also the socks are great. Don’t worry about the milk chocolate, I saw two dark ones as well, and as I said, there is someone already waiting for the others … Thank you also for the other nice pieces, like the menu cards, the candy cane and the tea lights. All arrived safely. Thanks also for the nice letter. Now I will post the pictures:
  5. I know others who are older including myself and it is a lot of fun believe me. Unless parcels are lost, unfortunately …
  6. Today I have received the confirmation from postal services that the gift I had sent to the US has officially been declared lost. The last package that I had sent to the US, I think it was California as well, was also lost. I did not track that, but never heard anything back from that Coldplayer. In Germany we have carneval season at the moment, although I am not participating this year. So HELAU everybody, happy Carneval!:imp::cool::gslite:
  7. maybe it is lost in transit. I have two parcels still in transit, one for over a month and one for two months now. I have let my match know so that they at least know I cared to prepare something.
  8. This card is awesome. Wow such good drawing skills!
  9. Merry Christmas everyone! My package still shows in Transit and it has reached the destination town since three weeks. This is strange. Lets hope for the best!
  10. My package received its destination town on 7th December and still shows in transit. It must be customs. I hope they release it before Christmas.
  11. On another note, I am very happy to say that I have received my package already as well. Same as last year, I was kind of worried when the doorbell rang, as I thought, who can that be, haven’t ordered anything and oh my god I hope it is not my son who has forgot that he has afternoon classes again … haha. Then it was a friendly postman handing me a package from sunny Italy. I thought this can only my secret santa!!! No way I was gonna wait to open it although it seems like a nice idea as well. I got a beautiful self-designed Coldplay Calendar, Chocolate and some lovely decorations. I really like the little dolly and the chocolate looks delicious. I was even happier when I found out that one of the chocolates is a dark one, since I do not tolerate cows milk that well. But I will try both anyway later on. So dear @FortyTwo42 thank you so much for taking extra care in putting together my little secret santa surprise. Unbelievable that mine will be the first picture this year. Here it comes:
  12. Hi All, I have sent my package a few days ago on the 29th. It has got quite some way to go. Very exciting.
  13. Hi 9Sturdyboy, it is nice to see there are other older Coldplayers … Although I am still 15 years younger than you :)
  14. Let me tell you our story of this latest concert. First we met up with friends who live very close to the Olympic Stadium for a pre-concert drink. My husband asks the brother of his friend who got a ticket only the week before, if he has seen Coldplay live before. His answer was, I was even once on the same wedding as Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. I must have sat there with my mouth wide open. He continued and said "I was actually trying to get a backstage pass yesterday but when they said, it is a bit late and guest lists have to be with photo and stuff I said, don't worry I do not want to cause a hazzle" He added that had he known that I was so keen on it, he would have tried harder. He even said, I did not call Chris Martin directly but the people where we were on the wedding. Can you imagine! He kept up close on who these people were and on my question if he HAS Chris's phone he did not answer. He only said that he really is a nice person in real life and that they had a nice talk. I guess the fact that he does not talk about these things even if asked, is the reason he is friends with this "these people". But now knowing what I know I will try to get a backstage pass out of him the next time they come to Munich. The concert itself was fantastic no question, with a great atmosphere. Even the weather behaved and the rain stopped just long enough before the concert for the rain pavilions to disappear. However I also think the setlist could do with a few changes. And they could have planned an encore. It is strange to have no encore on a concert. They never have done proper encores where they disappear and re-appear as far as I can remember (or maybe at my first concert in the VLV area, I remember they even changed their clothes). During the last concerts they always said "Do you have time for one more song" or so. I was very pleased though that they played almost a full 2 hour show not like the last tours (Mylo Xyloto) where they finished after 80 minutes. Special was that Chris asked a guy on stage to play piano for him on Everglow. You can read everything about it in the media. First I thought it is real, then I thought it was staged and now I think again it is real. What do you think? Also looking forward to the Video and which footage they used from the concert. Regarding the security we had no bad experiences. No big queues and since our tickets which we had bought eight months before stated that no bags and backpacks are allowed we did not bring anything. I found it strange that not even umbrellas where allowed which were small and collapsible especially with the rain before the concert. I found the mail saying this only today as they had sent it only on the day of the concert at 4 PM. But somebody else from our group had read it and told as so. Problem was with the catering. I stood almost one hour in a relatively small queue (15 people) to get my Fries. The stall had about 5 such queues and the fries did not get ready fast enough. I was surprised because at this venue there are regularly 70.000 people who are hungry so I have to make sure to offer food that I can deliver quickly. On the way home we had a 2 hour delay to get out of Munich due to roadworks at the motorway junction. Nice fact on the side: In the traffic jam we got passed by the very stage truck shown in one of the first pictures in this thread. Looked exactly the same and had British reg. I think I even saw it later again in the first truck lay by. So they first had their deserved sleep before heading on to Lyon. I did not intend to write such a long comment, but here we go. By the way, I am still wearing my new AOAL heart t-shirt which I bought at the merch stand. It is super cosy and looks gorgeous. Have fun wherever you are!
