The Tracklisting
1. Mylo Xyloto (intro to story, instrumental) 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. Charlie Brown 4. Princess of China 5. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 6. Up in Flames 7. Us Against the World 8. U.F.O. (I believe this is instrumental, nothing more) 9. Paradise 10. Major Minus 11. Great Expectations 12. A Hopeful Transmission (short weird song that repeats lyrics) 13. Tomorrow/Alien Radio (fades out) Just a shot... I am sure I forgot a song but what we have to remember is when you look at any "concept" album that tells a story in a linear fashion (see "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots", "Dark Side of the Moon", etc.), there almost certainly one or two instrumentals that fall between that aide in the narrative. With that as my guide, I believe two of the songs on the record (at least) will be sprinkled in to help in the overall scheme (think "the Great Gig in the Sky"). Also, with Eno involved on some level and Coldplay with Viva La Vida starting as an instrumental, it's almost a given. Anyone else agree or disagree?

Using my Crackberry so I apologize for spelling and using "ultimately" twice... Can't see my full screen!

I would personally feel cheated if they release another "ep" that ultimately contains 2 other songs that ultimately end up on the album. I feel somewhat like a hypocrite becauae I'm dying to hear new music but miss the days when a cd came out and you hadn't heard half of it already. If four of the songs, let's say, make the record and we have all heard the live versions of "Charlie Brown", "HLH", "UATW", then we will have heard over half of the new reccord... Or more. That would suck. "Paradise" is exciting, but that's all I want next time... Or a few b-sides as well. So I hope "PoC" isn't released early.

Sh*t, I forgot Charlie Brown, too! That's definitely on the album.

Oh crap, my bad... I didn't understand your request and used the longer titles in the middle. I'll "fix" it... And I never claimed it was real... just an interpretation of what the art on the back might look like. There is no tracklist sequence yet... but speculating is fun. If I get any more info, I'll pass it along... but all lips are sealed (even my friend's).

By request... I forget her name (Joss Stone avatar>?)- The Tracklisting
But it's just a hypothesis... again, it makes sense in the context of "Paradise" being the first single.- The Tracklisting
That's what I believe to be true...- Could this be Paradise lyrics
True... tracklisting is not done. I'm guessing that there won't be any song titles on the album back cover. Just more graffiti... just a guess ( like how Sigur Ros does sometimes). But we will know soon enough... and it's fun to speculate. The "Walking Man" has to be somewhere on the artwork.- The Tracklisting
Can you repost your request in this thread, please?!- The Tracklisting
Locust7 is correct... if it is true that it's a story or traditional "concept album" (in a timeline), then the process gets even more complicated because you have to sequence the album and write with that end goal in mind. It's also safe to assume that "Paradise" and "PoC" are ones they have mixed, engineered and most probably mastered by now.- The Tracklisting
I actually think "Paradise" had a different title until recently....- The Tracklisting
Thanks Locust7 for believing... I don't even know if what I heard (and my friend doesn't know) are the final "mixes" of the songs. I never claimed to know any more insight than being on the receiving end of a cell call and hearing two rather cool and interesting songs that had cool twists and turns... please understand that there is disagreement in the sequencing of the songs (hence, the delay in actual back cover artwork and tracklisting). "Paradise" has a chorus (unlike Charlie Brown), which is why I believe it was chosen over the latter song as the next single (even though CB is equally good for different reasons). I don't remember hearing the word "Paradise" in the chorus, though... damn, I wish I could hear it again. My friend won't tell me because he doesn't want to get in trouble... and I am pushing for some lyrics as we speak. But I am not claiming to know much...- The Tracklisting
By far- The Tracklisting
It sounded like Chris' vocals weren't as loud... But more going on musically. But it wasn't great quality. And the beginning of PoC sounded like it started as the "end" of the previous song. I'm sure it makes the cut... It was a powerful, hynotic beat. My friend is tight-lipped about it because he recorded it when they played it for a journalist.- The Tracklisting
You have to imagine the scenario... You are privy to some incredibly secret cool stuff and you are told not to tell anyone. As Bono once said, "a secret is something that you tell one other person". So, my buddy rings me on the tele and says "mate, hear this: it's the new album... And plays me snippets of two songs. He says, "you can't tell anyone you heard that". He was bragging... And wanted to share. But sh*t is tightly wrapped... He won't aide me with any lyrics. I wish I remembered them.- The Tracklisting
Reminds me of the famous Michael Stipe line: "Oh no, I've said too much... I haven't said enough"- The Tracklisting
Way better... more guitar. It's head and shoulders better than ETIAW.- The Tracklisting
The second part sucked, though!- The Tracklisting
Imagine, if you will, listening to a song over a cell phone and having to decipher it - all I heard was a great melody in "Paradise" that built slowly to a crescendo and a great bass sound (with some Radiohead-esque elements) in PoC. That's all I got... I didn't get a chance to record it. I wasn't prepared!- The Tracklisting
That first part is pretty good, bro. - The Tracklisting
