  1. Sick of it??? It's been less that a day! You know what I'm sick of? I'm sick of fans telling other fans how to think... everyone on this site has the right to their own opinion and if a life-long fan doesn't like a song, they are entitled to feel that way. As a fan since Parachutes, I have loved every direction (sh*t, even X&Y is great in retrospect) the band has taken and I LOVE a band that takes risks. With that being stated, I am seriously worried about this record. I have finally heard the REAL version of "Paradise" and it TRIES WAY TOO HARD. The "refrain" (which I thought was the chorus) is good, but the rest is mediocre bubblegum pop. I can't say anything other than I feel like Christmas morning and I didn't get the present I wanted (after staring at it for a week).
  2. I like it, but for some reason without it being in the context of the album, I think of a car's transmission, which sucks.
  3. 01 UFO 02 Paradise 03 Up in Flames 04 Princess of China 05 Major Minus 06 Mylo Xyloto 07 Hurts Like Heaven 08 Don't Let It Break Your Heart 09 Charlie Brown 10 Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 11 Us Against the World
  4. Thanks, Sonny! Tough coming up with lyrics on the fly!
  5. Yes, my writing in Photoshop sucks! And yes, the lyrics are just made up BASED on some semblance of the theme. "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes", etc.
  6. Because of your above theory, I changed my tracklisting!
  7. I hope this is the one, to be honest!
  8. My hope is that the following happens (eventually) - Coldplay release an EP after the album containing the leftover music, like they did with Viva La Vida OR the actual cd (for the fans who buy the actual physical cd) get a bonus ep (unlikely, but I know the Doves and other bands have done that with extras). With that in mind, my final guess at the tracklisting: 01 A Hopeful Transmission (instrumental) 02 Tomorrow 03 Up in Flames 04 Major Minus 05 Charlie Brown 06 Mylo Xyloto (instrumental) 07 Hurts Like Heaven 08 Paradise 09 Princess of China 10 Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 11 Us Against the World / UFO (not so hidden track) Car Kids EP 01 Up With the Birds 02 Wandering Star 03 Alien Radio 04 Car Kids 05 Moving to Mars 06 Great Expectations 07 Princess of China (Kamikaze Remix) 08 Don Quixote Obviously, I'm having a little fun here. What's interesting about this exercise is that I am never fully satisfied in my choices, even though I haven't heard most of the music!
  9. Not to beat a dead horse, but I can't wrap my head around "Every Teardrop" and I am hoping that it "fits" within the album and compliments it... otherwise, I'll be skipping that one, too—the worse thing about getting all this music "spoonfed" to us is possibly having heard the majority of it before it gets released.

  11. Great call on "The Hardest Part". I do hear that in supermarkets every now and then, but I skip that one, too.
  12. It's a tough one to dissect... only because of the hidden songs and the fact that most of the songs are collages. I love all of them, but for fun debate I put it in this order: 01 AROBTTH 02 VLVODAAHF 03 Parachutes 04 X&Y Sh*t, they are all good.
  13. If "Up in Flames" and "DLIBYH" are as good as mentioned, this is setting up to be a great album. No duds on this one... and really, hard to pick a dud on any album but some albums of theirs flow better than others. I like most of the songs on X&Y, but it isn't an album I listen to straight through anymore, while AROBTTH just seems to be a template for a perfect tracklisting (IMHO). VIVA LA VIDA had a somewhat disjointed flow to it, but the back four songs made up for it for me. I think of "Major Minus" to be the "Cemetaries of London" for this record... a good song but not one I put as a favorite (yet I really like every now and then).
  14. Thank you, my friend... I truly come in peace.
  15. You're right, my dear friend... except, apparently, I learned how to properly use grammar and bettered my Photoshop skills.
  16. I did make this... and I apologize to anyone who felt misled by my artwork postings and lyric submissions. The lyrics are not real - just some I made up on the back of the artwork I made. Nothing more. I hope you all have it in your heart to forgive me. (This is my press conference to apologize) I stand by me hearing snippets of two songs through a celly, however. The rest was, ahem, my imagination. Don't let it be your head....
  17. Don't Let It Be Your Head
  18. You're right, Nick... I grabbed it off Google and used layers to build over it.
  19. Not to sound like pompous, but those lyrics were made up on the spot... and they were part of the background artwork I had created just for fun. They are in there so I just threw them out there to make the artwork gain popularity. It doesn't make me an expert. I NEVER thought anyone would think those lyrics were real... but they did add to the mystique of the aforementioned artwork. Plus, it lead to others coming up with lyrics... so, if that upset you, I apologize. Plus, I have heard snippets of two songs. So have a few other people MORE IMPORTANT than me and they are tight-lipped, too. Not allowed to say ANYTHING or heads will roll.
  20. So you're telling me and everyone in this forum that I am running around claiming to know everything and bragging about it?! Dude, really? Check back on my posts and see if I am "bragging". I love the haters on this site... like, how do you build up such resentment towards someon you don't know? If I was hiding, why would I use my name? Come find me... we can talk.
  21. If it is, indeed, a "concept" record in the truest sense, it most likely will include short musical interludes... Only to help in the narrative and to guide the listener from beginning to end. So MAYBE that is the "10 vs. 13" argument, who knows. With that in mind, here is my predicted tracklisting: 01. UFO [instrumental] 02. Princess of China 03. Up in Flames 04. Paradise 05. Major Minus 06. Us Against the World 07. Mylo Xyloto [instrumental] 08. Hurts Like Heaven 09. Charlie Brown 10. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 11. Tomorrow
  22. It's funny... I never asked you or anyone to believe me, bro. This whole thing took on a life of its own... I apologize for not monitoring every thread on a website. Go back to the original... I state that I "whipped it up based on seeing the tracklisting". It's changed many times since then... That artwork is old news.
