Those "purists" are just haters. Obviously men change the key of songs when they cover women songs and vice versa (except in rare cases when the key works for most voices) Coldplay has covered quite a few songs of other artists so I feel it's dumb when some of their fans think it's wrong for people to be covering their songs...or any songs of anyone in general.
