I agree, my original thought wasn't to have a Charlie Brown animation, just an animation in general. But it's a fair point, maybe the guys thought it would be pointless to make an animation for a song called Charlie Brown if they couldn't get the rights to do an actual Charlie Brown animation.

Does anyone else think that an animation would've really worked as the video for Charlie Brown? The track really reminds me of Life in Technicolor II in that it has a happy, upbeat and almost juvenile feel to it, and that shines through in the video with the puppet show. It feels a little like the guys have missed a trick here and could have produced a fun little animated video to go with the song, even if it would've meant not working with Mat Whitecross as they seem to be doing on a permanent basis now. Thoughts?

Haha, thanks, was pretty proud of it :) Everyone on this forum is so much polite than other messageboards I've been on! The release of Charlie Brown seems to be infinitely delayed, I've heard some stuff about more filming for a video, but it could also be that they're refining a B-Side for it. Also, I remember reading an interview with Chris somewhere where he said they originally recorded a bunch of acoustic songs for the album, so the wishful thinking for a whole EP shall continue :D

This is my first post on the site, so first of all, hey :) Anyway, to my main point, I was wondering if there's been any suggestion of a Prospekt's March style EP for Mylo Xyloto (i.e. all the tracks that didn't make the album)? I've followed the messageboard for a while now and so often I see people talking about Car Kids in particular - have the band dropped any hints to a release or are people just wishing?
