Yap, they threw everything in this huge trash container (or next to it once it was full) and people were digging through hundreds of umbrellas and literally trash to find their stuff after the show. It was a mess. Especially since some people at some gates were allowed to take their stuff into the stadium with them. Yeap, you probably would be lost. I was in D.C. last year, wanted to save on rental cars and taxis and instead was relying on taking a bus after a concert. Well, the bus was an hour late and i was standing at the bus stop by myself at midnight. Not the most comfortable situation i ever found myself in. I'm not keen to listen to Grönemeyer in concert but even more than that i don't want to get shot or robbed at gun point. Was more than relieved when i closed the door of my hostel behind me, lesson learned.

The first thing that came to my mind was the MTV World Stage performance in Tokyo from 2009. Lucky bunch of people to have 2 of their shows recorded.

Good point. Guess i was a bit quick to praise the german public transport. Still, i'm sure at event nights it's no problem to leave the arena after the show using public transport. I consider leaving early anyway to be honest, if that's possible. Grönemeyer is really not my cup of tea and i'm not keen to listen to his music for 90 mins or so. Let's hope we will have a detailed schedule some time in advance.

Hamburg is not like London. I'm pretty sure trains and busses run well until after midnight. Maybe even all night. I guess Grönemeyer will be the main act and perform pretty much a full show. Coldplay could be a 1 hour thing. Just like at a radio concerts. So basically 29 minutes after midnight would be the last train.
