  1. 63435 thankyouverymuch
  2. 7C, very overcast, strong winds. It's been a long winter on the east coast of the good ol' USA.
  3. 63397 (I'm on my way!!)
  4. All right, I surrender: 63395
  5. Five minutes of peace and quiet!
  6. For what it's worth, she was quoted recently as saying there was no way she wants the kids to be teenagers in Los Angeles. She said she wanted them to go to upper school in England. So we'll see. The whole family is used to being pretty trans-Atlantic at this point, so maybe they can keep a family life going in some way.
  7. I am sorry to say that the very first time I heard the new songs I thought they were very sad and sounded almost in the past tense about a relationship. Magic struck me as the saddest love song I probably ever heard, especially his emphatic "of course I do", like he's having to convince someone (and perhaps himself) about a magical feeling with someone that has been lost. And then the idea in Midnight (song and video) about being lost in the dark and almost pleading with someone to help you find a way home. And then Another's Arms sealed it. I had thought about posting these thoughts in the new song threads but I didn't want to be a downer. Anyway, so, so sorry to hear the news. But it's going to be tough to hear these songs, and especially see him sing them.
  8. I thought they sounded great, too. Some versions here - like of Charlie Brown, for instance - I thought were as good as I've ever heard them. They seemed so energized by the performers and spectacle all around them. It was so great to hear the Viva songs, especially Strawberry Swing; I just couldn't believe the moment when Jonny's opening chords came in over the orchestra - magical. Well done to everyone involved! Just a gentle, thoughtful, subtle and yet boisterous show all the way around.
  9. Yes, it was Lovers in Japan. I have good video of it, just haven't been able to share it yet - technical glitches.
  10. Should be another good one tonight! I thought the band was sharp last night, and Chris was particularly on his game. He seemed so excited and energized right from the beginning; I could see them as they came on stage before the full lights went up and he was jumping multiple times and yelling out to the crowd. Perhaps knowing they are getting a couple of weeks off is energizing them, so tonight could be special. It also should be a little cooler in the venue, as we've finally had a bit of a break in the heat - it was somewhat sweltering in there yesterday.
  11. Welcome! Welcome, Coldplayers, to our fair city! Sorry for the endless heat wave! (I worried about that when they announced the shows so long ago.) Anyway, it's so exciting, the big days are here at last. I hope everyone has a wonderful time. I've been reading this site for years, just never got around to posting. Allow some extra time on the Metro and watch out for a thunderstorm. I have a feeling the show is going to be epic tonight!
