  1. Norfolk, Virginia, USA. THANKS!
  2. It's fun and bright, but I think it's the wrong concept for this song. The performance from the Ghost Stories TV special is much better, with the stunning green sky and stars on the surround screens over their heads. That clip is how I think of this song. The clip on the video monitors here where Chris stops definitely looks like another ASFOS video. It has the circular dancing Chris does. By the way, for all you lucky Royal Albert Hall people, I bet there will be some great video screens there, in part because the building is round. It will be epic. You can see Chris' bodyguard a few times late in this video.
  3. Ahh, OK, thank you!
  4. I've seen the phrase "stickied thread" before, but I don't really know what it means. Could yup tell me, please?
  5. I went to a Target today and they had a few copies of the deluxe edition. Hmm, I thought, should I buy some for Coldplayers outside the US?
  6. And they really blew it, not having Midnight. It was so great at the SXSW concert.
  7. This was fine, but the sequencing of songs was, for me, erratic. I think this was kind of a missed opportunity. The beginning with AIMH, great camerawork, visuals - I wish the whole thing was like this. Better with great videos and no audience; riskier, yes, but more innovative. How original it would have been to film the new record straight through with videos, close ups, maybe interspersed with a few brief interviews. We didn't need to see the old songs again, as good as they are.
  8. Oh heck yeah, what a performance! The guys looked and sounded great. I cannot understand the hate for ASFOS. It's such a good song.
  9. About 15 minutes to go! (And New York is currently on Eastern Daylight Time, or EDT, for someone who asked earlier.)
  10. I swear I've never seen Batman's avatar actually blink. I only see it out of the corner of my eye or when I'm turning away from the computer. Freaks me out! Like a painting whose eyes follow you around the room. Further proof that Batman knows and sees everything ... :o
  11. Very well done, Kacey! Thank you!
  12. Well, in the spirit of Chris saying we all could benefit from being more open and vulnerable, I remember when I first heard the opening chords of Every Teardrop. It was during a very difficult and tumultuous time in my life. There's been very few songs over the years that truly moved me, that stirred something deep inside, that instantaneously gave me hope and just helped give me a jolt of joy. ETIAW did that, and still does, even if in the end it's just a silly pop song. And for me, not to overstate it, but hearing the brief bit from the Zane Lowe interview of A Sky Full of Stars gave me that feeling again. I don't care personally about the EDM or anything else, it has that instant Coldplay signature and spirit that I love. And Chris said at Cologne that this song was really special, so it must be to them. I'm really looking forward to it, and I'm not embarrassed to say so.
  13. 63662 (It looks like we missed 63657, so I'll type it now so that the counting police don't make us start over!!)
  14. The voice of the woman who kept doing the ads during the radio broadcast is Always In My Head.
  15. Our Coldplayer friends are shown in the front row on the live blog ...!
  16. You could hear the crowd literally stamping their feet during Midnight. Pics now on the live blog.
  17. Is it possible that May 18 is going to be the greatest day in the history of the world?? Well, except for May 19, I suppose.
