That's true. Without this movie we wouldn't be able to get some taste of the direction Coldplay are going next. The song might be MX-like (or not) who knows? Knowing Coldplay, it will be fucking awesome :guitarist:

Apparently Chris is a fan of the books. I've not read them, but they seem to be directed to more mature readers than those other ones you just listed. The first Hunger Games movie wasn't bad so, them choosing to it to this movie isn't the worst thing that could happen.

I wish I could have heard about them earlier too! I'm 19 years old and I didn't listen music that much when I was younger. My first memory of hearing a Coldplay song was in 2006. It was Speed of Sound and MTV was playing its music video. I remember thinking it was somehow special, but didn't think about it a lot after that. By then Coldplay had been playing for ten years and I didn't even know such a band existed! After that I got my own iPod and started really listening to bands. In the beginning of 2008 when I heard Fix You I was sold and that's when I really started obsessing with Coldplay :)

Yeah, Adele's song was pretty great, it was the winning song at the Golden Globes, the Brit Awards and the Academy Awards. PoC was nominated for British Single too at the Brit Awards though :)

I'm all for two songs! :) I'm so glad it's the Hunger Games and not Twilight, though I've not read the Hunger Games books just saw the first movie. Besides Twilight had Muse so they didn't need another successful band for their soundtrack.
