Chris actually speaks all these languages? I don't think he does. In video performances, sometimes they show the view from the back, and you can see he sometimes has a cheat sheet with words and sentences written in the country's (wherever they are) language! It's quite funny!

I cannot believe someone can get so uptight over a tiny comment. I said " Practically no one even remembers them HERE anymore." Meaning the USA. Don't give me your "they're remembered all over the world" bullshit, because I was not referring to "the rest of the world". Listen.. I'm not here to argue with you. I don't know why you're getting so defensive, you don't even live here to truly know. I have not heard of Oasis anywhere. Not by word of mouth, not on tv, radio.. nowhere. They may still be known because they were huge in the 90's, but that seems to be their saving grace. I do not see how today they fit in with Coldplay and/or Radiohead. U2 would've made for a more appropriate question. And by the way, Radiohead are still huge here. Despite Coldplay many accomplishments, people still compare Coldplay to Radiohead. Calling them "Radiohead lite". RH's upcoming new album is talked of a lot, my friends won't shut up about it actually. I at no point said "Oasis are not as good as they used to be", all I'm saying is that you hear nothing about them. I don't see any album chart position you throw at me changing that. "Don't Believe the Truth".. heh. Quite fitting. :rolleyes:

Old 1990's fans may be filling in their tour venues, because I certainly haven't heard ANY of their recent singles on the radio, nor their video on tv, nothing. Zip. Nada. Oasis' heyday was in the 90's and no one can deny that. I don't see how they can be compared to Coldplay or Radiohead anymore. I don't mean to insult you, I can tell you're a fan. But here in the US? They're just as good as your average band.

Most of those are very long shots.. yeah. I think the name of the album is the only obvious mathematical reference. X and Y just representing a variable that you don't know, which ties in nicely with their X&Y motto (one could say) of "things I don't understand" and "if you see it then you'll understand" etc.
