  1. What a clever and fantastic theme! :cheesy: I can picture the album feeling very iridescent...SO excited!
  2. I just realized I've been using the old link...it's still up and running like a champ! (Hi Tina! It's great seeing you again! :cheesy:)
  3. OH MYYYYY!! Just look at that smile, he looks so happy! Our boy has grown up SO much! :cheesy::mad::mad: He's gonna be a heartbreaker, so cute! Thanks loads for the update Naddie! :cheesy::dance:
  4. Much apologies guys, Yamster's design is unfortunately too small for CafePress, they request the images to be 2000x2000 or we risk having the shirts coming out very pixelated once printed. One of Zemy's designs will be in the shop instead (hopefully!) I just sent him a message. Thanks for the patience everybody! :vanish:
  5. Ooh a Decemberists thread! :cheesy: I listen to Picaresque the most, so I guess that one is my favorite but it's hard to say! Their instrumentation is brilliant, but I have never seen a frontman be as verbose and poetic and so able with words and storytelling like Colin. And (geek alert!) I just love catching the bits of sibilance and his consonantal and vocalic alliteration while listening. So clever.. me loves! :smart:
  6. The site is usually redone (or slightly altered) every year, it seems. 1999 2000 late 2000 - 2001 late 2001- 2002 2002 2003 From 2004 onward it's been the customizable flash site with all the different album and singles skins. They changed the front photo pretty often, though. (There's more but the laziness ) The site has always changed relatively often so it doesn't necessarily mean a new album this year, but it would certainly be nice! :cheesy:
  7. Oh.. Oxjam is in October. Aw, gutted. :embarassed: I get complicated late this year with school and a big job, my time off of both would be in December. But I'll definitely ask for that week early enough and see what happens, I'll keep you posted Trace.
  8. Alright very well so! We received the batch of CDs the other day for those without a credit card. We ordered 15 (there's 12 available now) so get them while they're hot and smell good! Just PM Nadia or myself for payment details or for any questions at all.
  9. I thought it would be shown on DirecTV's "The 101" channel.. when they're not busy playing that annoying CD USA thing, they're usually showing great concerts. So far I've caught KT Tunstall, U2, Corinne Bailey Rae, Foo Fighters, John Legend and Nine Inch Nails on there but no Coldplay
  10. Yeay happy birthday Tracie! and for your entertainment, here are some fast dancing bananas! and uh...milkies!! :cheesy: and the Crazy Cat Lady! (I'm sure she's dancing too :happy2:) Aaand! I'll quit the randomness now :uhoh::shy: Have a great one chic!:heart:
  11. This is pretty brilliant. Are you guys doing this in the Zoo? This reminds me of a similar gift from Oxfam Unwrapped, for $100 someone can start a small business. But it's a donation of course, not a loan. For the most part we've only focused on the $1.36 Campaign, and now we'll have another leading project (Oxfam Unwrapped), both will be funded by the CCC shop. KIVA is a pretty fantastic organization (especially the part about getting our donations back! Hah) so hopefully in the future we can organize another project with benefits going towards it. Million thanks for the heads up!
  12. Thanks a lot PK, it's nice seeing you around these parts! :square:
  13. It's so great to see you here again Tina! :cheesy: How weird, I was looking back through old posts just the other day, read everything you and Donna posted and was amazed all over again. I wondered what you guys were up to so I'm glad you popped in for a few! Yes $1.36 is still going on. All thanks to our constant donors we're raised more than $1,000 so it's certainly been quite the ride! We've just released a charity album compiled by forum members, with benefits going toward Oxfam. I can't wait to see what else the future has in stock! You know it's so amazing, that banner.. quite historic even, I (and every CCC member I'm sure) would love so much to sign it one day! Thank you so much for still thinking of us  and say hi to Donna from us!
  14. Aw no Joscey we can only vote once with these polls, but if you see that your first choice is doing well you can always vote for your second or third choice, so they make it into the shop as well.
  15. Trace I think the design posted here in the board might've been too small for Cafepress to allow for a bigger picture. I don't see the 2000x2000 sized one in the e-mail so send it over when you can Miss! We have to keep in mind to vote for the design. Not so much the shirt or the placement of any design, because any design can be applied to any shirt and placed anywhere if the size is correct and if the t-shirt color allows for it.
  16. AaaaHH that's so fantastically amazing!! I wonder who submitted it? I can't stop looking at it :laugh4: I hope more stuff like this turns up! :hat2::wideeyed:
  17. Yaay million thanks to everyone who have already bought the album! :cheesy: And don't worry Trace, I only recognize some because Nadia made this awesome $1.36 Campaign database with tons of names and screennames. Hah :happy2: So far we have 4 completed orders (already shipped) and 3 pending ones, that haven't shipped yet. Nadia and I bought the album while logged in to the Cafepress account, so as the "shopkeepers" it discounted our purchase :dozey: But we now know that for future purchases we have to log out. We will make up for the loss when we make the large order, that'll be available for non-credit card holders soon! We'll start up a thread regarding the Oxfam Unwrapped project pretty soon, too. Weee!
  18.:jester::mad::smash::cheesy::dance: Million thanks to everyone involved who made this possible! And to you Trace, I'm sure it was quite a delight putting up with Nads and I :laugh3:  I've just ordered mine! :wideeyed:
  19. eMusic works with subscription plans. You get a free 14 day trial and then have to pay a monthly fee, either $9.99, $14.99 or $19.99 depending on the plan. This will not be the only way of purchasing How We See the World. The album is not quite ready yet (there was a lot artwork to include!) but rest assured that we will update everyone when it is ready, and we will include all of the purchasing options so everyone can choose according to their preference. (To read up on eMusic and learn more about their music store, visit here: http://www.emusic.com/about/index.html)
  20. That's great news Sofy, yay! Congrats to you and your dad for the shiny, new Visa :cheesy::wink: Our last donation round totaled $51.79 USD! And our 9th donation installment has already begun, so far we have donated $14.26 USD. Lets continue to keep our boy Zali in our thoughts and our hearts everyone  (Donation linky)
  21. I missed this thread :blank: Thanks for posting, this is great news! I've only eaten fair trade chocolate after reading an article that went into details and specifics on how horribly chocolate laborers (which are practically all children) are treated. I bumped into this ad while researching online: It's really sad..yet it doesn't even begin to portray what those children are put through in the cocoa plantations. So if anyone is interested in other brands of fair trade chocolate besides Divine, I know of Dagoba (my fav!), Green & Blacks and Equal Exchange.
  22. Awesome indeed  And hey someone in the Cafepress forum posted that their CDs were up within 5 days or so, so hopefully it won't be too long now! But supposedly it varies, I think it might depend on where it's being shipped from. And it was amazing up there..only it was freezing! I stupidly thought I had frostbite the first night I noticed my slightly purple toes and totally freaked out :laugh4: But it was perfect, falling snow is just so beautiful and so magical...though it's no fun telling a Canadian that, you're probably like 'Snow? Yeahokwhatev.'
  23. Oh mymy 95 friends! Million thanks to Tracie and Nads! I honestly have no clue how to work the Myspace stuff and I've just left it all up to them :shy::happy2: It looks so wonderful and looka all the buddies! Yeah!
