Hmmm interesting a few days ago certain sites I was on radomly cut off for me at times, but I chalked it up to my internet connection.

Kind of a old thread but whenever I had software installation problems with OSX tiger I would go into Applications> Utillities > Disk Utility and repair the disk permissions, that usually fixed things for me. Kinda of ridiculous somebody would actually recommend a complete reformating of the hard drive for a problem like this.
