  1. The new album is a lot more post-hardcore and a lot less screaming. Have you heard it yet?
  2. I love Mew's latest single though, Repeaterbeater. Just this song isn't my thing ;)
  3. Also, I'm curious who made mine! Anyone?
  4. Enter Shikari's latest boxset: a B-sides album, live album, poster, shirt, sticker and buttons. All for 28 pounds or 35 euros. 'S called Tribalism.
  5. The person who received mine hasn't reacted yet either... But she's a mod, so I'm confident I'll get a review soon.
  6. Track 1: catchy, like the music a lot, especially towards the end, but not so much the vocals. Track 2: too ethereal, not interesting enough for my tastes. Track 3: voice is familiar, might just be the accent though. What is up with the echoes though? Too 80’s for me. Glasvegas-like. This would’ve been better had it been faster. Track 4: this one’s good! I have a feeling this might be Living Things, I saw them back in ’06 at a festival. I really dig the chorus, quite shoutalongable, and the synths are a welcome addition. Track 5: voice sounds like AFI, I don’t know the song though. It’s okay, but I’m not smitten or anything. Track 6: Just another up tempo indie rocker. I don’t have much of an opinion on this. Track 7: Good voice, nicely dramatic intro. Track 8: this is Modest Mouse, but I haven’t heard anything newer by them. I quite like the trumpets and strings as an extra to the song. This cheers me up! Track 9: about half a year after I heard their album Dutch radio stations decided this should be a gigantic hit: Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis. Dudududu, doodoodoo, etcetera. Reminds me of standing at Pinkpop Festival and shouting along with a beer in my hand. Not much depth to the music but good lyrics and a killer bar brawl melody. Track 10: isn’t this the song with those weird half-naked dudes? Iglu & Hartly or something? Again, singable, I fancy this as long as I don’t have to see the dudes and ignore the lyrics. I wonder if they’ve ever made any other music. You know, where they’re not half naked. And where someone has told the singer not to sing through his nose so much. In THIS CITYYYY. Track 11: Mika? Yes. Mika. Happy, but after a while his tone can get somewhat annoying. Track 12: this would have been bordering on whiny even without the auto-tuned, high-pitched overdubbed vocals. This is just not my thing. Sappy, badly rhyming lyrics, slow, boring piano tune. Must be James Blunt or that dude who did a song with Nelly Furtado. I don’t know, this just isn’t it, sorry! Track 13: Now this I like, original melody, Bright Eyes-esque lyrics, a pleasant guitar sound and the little piano riff in between tickles my fancy! I could listen to this over and over again. Track 14: Woo for the little 8-bit intro! The rest of the song is pleasant enough, a little emo/pop standard though. Track 15: I have a feeling I know this band or at least their garage rock-ish sound. There’s a little Libertines in the guitars which I quite dig. Track 16: 35 seconds of oh ey oh oh? Honestly. But the semi-spoken word vocals are rather nice and the lyrics are interesting enough. Track 17: I knew this one in 5 seconds flat, Franz Ferdinand’s Ulysses. Excellent choice, definitely my favorite off the album! Track 18: I love the guitar intro and the drum work. This would be the better side of emo! I’m very curious which band this is. Track 19: I can’t believe whoever made this tape knows ZOX! They are a brilliant violin-laced ska/pop punk band from the U.S. I used be really into these guys, sadly they’ve only ever had one gig in my country. At which was the only one to sing along to every song! I love this song. @ whoever made this: There are a couple of gems in there, one or two songs I just plain dislike but most of it just misses the target of my music taste. If I am a bit harsh in some places, it’s just how I feel about the music! It's definitely nothing against you personally or your taste, the tape was definitely well-made and the music fitted together. Thanks for introducing me to some new stuff!
  7. I know right. They have more great stuff, try looking on YouTube for Mothership or No Sssweat ;) Or here. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qs_2BFPTcRo]YouTube- Enter Shikari - Sorry You're Not A Winner Live @ Big Day In[/ame]

  9. Blue Dragon for the Xbox? EA Madden NFL? EA NHL? They're in all of those ;)
  10. Well, they're a British band, who make anything from post-hardcore, punk, metal, trance to pop, mostly a blend though. They formed back in '03, and have toured Europe, America and Japan since. Got two albums out now, Take to the Skies and Common Dreads. If you're interested, this is one of their last singles: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ehzmr79ZCoE]YouTube- ENTER SHIKARI - NO SLEEP TONIGHT - official promo video[/ame] and their most famous song: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4MiC67seUY&feature=channel]YouTube- Enter Shikari 'Sorry Youre Not A Winner' video[/ame] If you see anything you like, lemme know ;)
  11. Britain's loudest treasure. Anyone? I fucking LOVE them. If anyone has never heard of them, I can introduce you! :) /fan
  12. I'd like to add Enter Shikari, in the unlikely hope that more people know/like them :)
  13. I'm on a DVD, crowdsurfing :P And on YouTube. And another on YouTube stagediving.
  14. Or, you know, you could be more passive-agressive.
  15. It's from the end of Screaming Infidelities by Dashboard Confessional, it's horribly emo :P [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZtgoTQRH4c&feature=fvw]YouTube- Screaming Infidelities - Dashboard Confessional[/ame] (with special EMO-video )
  16. What happened to the big ol' nostril shot? :P
  17. Yoooouur haaaair is everywheeeeere *sings* You know that song?
  18. I want photographic proof!
  19. My co-workers are way too busy to look at my screen. And also, fuck them, Coldplay are awesome. And I'm home again, btw, WOOHOO!
  20. Yeah, remember when I mentioned the internet ruining taste? :P
  21. Well, it's especially awful cause I get a lot of customers that are up to their nostrils in debt and take it out on me. And my hide is not that thick ;) But from next week on I'll be working in a different division, a sort of telephone receptionist thingy where I just have to put people through to doctors and stuff.
  22. What kind of call center?
  23. I'm very much resisting the urge to shout "UR MOM IS GAY" right now. Teh Intarwebs has ruined me and my good taste.
  24. I am an inbound call center agent for the Netherlands' largest insurance company. I mainly do customer services, so questions about reimbursement, changes in peoples' policies and since a few months I do debts too. It's quite horrible.
