  1. Amsterdam. Ebbs and flows through the whole song and then builds to a crescendo.
  2. I've had the Live 2003 DVD for a while. Blue Room EP in the mail, can't wait.
  3. All the time! Martin's lyrics aren't often too cryptic. Yes, they're well written, but he's usually writing about love or relationships, which makes it easier to interpret. Obviously there are exceptions. ;)
  4. Them? Chicane is one guy, but I guess he has a bunch of backup musicians when he plays live now. Never had the opportunity unfortunately. Great music, some to chill out by, some energetic. Nice mix.
  5. "Star Guitar" is definitely a good song. Anyone listen to Chicane?
  6. I read an interpretation that I thought made sense and have modified to fit my own feelings about the song. Basically, the subject of the song is, perhaps emotionally, a shut-in or loner. They're wearing a 'bulletproof vest', 'inside with all the windows closed', afraid to get hurt. They see the outside world not as a participant, but through a 'telescope lens' from a distance. Sounds good to me.
  7. Which is from Blue Room? I have two versions of Don't Panic - one starts out with distorted voices and has a more surreal feel to the whole song. The other sounds normally recorded. I'm not a big fan of the way they played it on the Live DVD. Too fast for my taste.
