  1. Thanks a lot, tanber, for this clarification! That doesn't sound too bad.
  2. I can only tell you about my QI experience. They don't call it "guaranteed", but "priority ticket". With a priority ticket you have to arrive between 60 to 45 minutes before the door opening time. Otherwise the guaranteed entrance will become void. About an hour before the doors open somebody goes along the queue and checks the tickets. All priority ticket holders get separated into another queue. This queue then gets in first when the doors open. When all of them are inside, they start to let the people from the "normal" queue in. Don't know if this will work similarly, but I can imagine.
  3. Writing is okay, talking also, but as soon as I have a telephone receiver in my hand, I begin to stammer like I've been only learning it for 2 months. :D Really hope to meet some of you guys there!
  4. That would be nice of you. Seems a bit confusing. I'm really bad at the phone with my English, so I'd appreciate somebody else double-checking. :)
  5. I'll be there early then. Just booked my bus. Yay!
  6. Okay, got through. After giving her my reference number, the lady told me I don't have a guaranteed ticket. I suggest somebody else calls them as well, 'cause I'm not sure all the tickets that went out today are 'not guaranteed'. Number to call is 08709 011227. Does anybody have a ticket number that is higher than 600?
  7. Yeah, sure. I'm coming up from Poole and don't want to do it for nothing either. I'm calling them again and will tell you what they said. :)
  8. Maybe we should call them again. But I still think we will all be guaranteed entry. I found my positive side the last few days. :D
  9. Yes, that's a standard text. I went to a BBC radio recording in January, just got out my letter from this again and the text is exactly the same. If they said on the phone that it's not over booked then I think that's right.
  10. HOLY CRAP! As soon as I read your stories here I ran down eight floors and opened our mail box with shaking hands. I got one as well and I started a small dance in our common room. Oh god, I'm so happy now! @dfective: My email is from 10:41.
  11. Now the Ticketmaster site says: I know that's just a generic message, but I like to believe there's still a chance of some more tickets being released. Otherwise they simply could have taken the site down.
  12. When I called them earlier, they couldn't help me. She knew nothing about whether more tickets will be released later.
  13. As I'm not a native speaker, Ticketmaster comes in quite handy. I learned a lot of new and strange words the last few hours trying to get a ticket. :D
  14. I was a mess yesterday. Somewhere between sad, disappointed and angry. My Mom called me in the afternoon and I rather harshly told her that I have stuff to do (which wasn't really the case). She didn't call back again. Should say sorry today. I hope they will release some more tickets, but even if so, I guess with my luck somebody else will find them first. :(
  15. I will definitely keep checking the link and hope the best. Just called Ticketmaster but they couldn't help me. The lady told me they're not booking for Brixton at the moment and she couldn't say whether more tickets will become available at a later time.
  16. I can't believe I missed out again. :( Congrats to all the lucky guys!
  17. I am hopeful, that they will redraw some unclaimed tickets tomorrow. For the NY Show it says: "If you can't make it, email or call us. We'll find some other fan who will go in your place." So maybe indeed everythings's not lost. :) Still congratulations to all the winners here!
  18. Didn't win either, but just wanted to say that it was nice waiting with all of you guys in this thread. Made it a bit more bearable. :) I guess I'm much more dissappointed now than I would have been last Thursday. Making us wait for so long was way torturous, but what can you do. I'm glad I can claim my life back from the person who was obsessively checking my emails the last few days and wasn't really able to concentrate on something else. Small hope for the BBC thing, but I guess I won't be lucky there either.
  19. At the website it says: Full Capacity 4,921
  20. Maybe the evil winners don't want to let us know. :D
  21. Sounds like we might possibly have to wait until tomorrow to me. Ahhhhhhhh! :D
  22. They better do that soon. I want my life back!
  23. I'm not even hoping for tickets anymore. Just for the fact that the emails will finally go out and we'll have some assurance. :D
