I'm sorry to bump this thread and I know people have requested it to die but I just wanted to reiterate that I do not hate new members, I welcome them :) AngelicJan I want you to stay, and also I do not think that I am better than anyone and that my opinion is better than anyone elses and just because I had a moment of madness (one of many) it by no means that people should stop posting. I LOVE EVERYONE most of the time. And Ginger and Guy's Chick both summed up what I said very well and at the same time. And I have to say Kat is my soulmate :D but you all know that. That is all.

The problem with the 25th is it's a Saturday and in England the time for the party will be 8:00pm and most peeps aren't home on a Saturday night so Sunday's are better in that sense. But for me either way it's fine because it ends up being in my afternoon when I am home.

From now until January 28 I am gonna be homebound studying for my exams so basically anytime is good. What about the last weekend of January?? Same Coldplaying time, same Coldplaying place. :D

I regret making this thread. I am sorry. I didn't mean to upset all of the relatively new members so much, I was just having a bad day and decided to make this thread. I don't even know why I did because I hate people like me who generalize and group certain people into one category. Everyone is different and I don't want everyone to be afraid now. I apologize again and I am considering just deleting this thread altogether if that's possible. Sorry :(

*bites Simon* Ok, she has some talent I do not disagree with that my main issue with her is she is POP. There is nothing wrong with pop music, I just don't have respect for her because she is trying to come across as a PUNK artist. She is the polar opposite for what punk stands for. She is not punk she is pop and the day she comes out and says I AM POP I will have more respect for her, until then I do not. I like Britney Spears more than her because at least Britney does not pretend that she isn't pop music. She always says that she is. Avril on the other hand says she is punk. And Avril is just as much as a manufactured product as Britney, Christina, Kylie whatever. Her songs are not bad at all, just what she stands for I do not agree with. AND SHE CAN'T PRONOUNCE DAVID BOWIE'S NAME. IT WAS TELEVISED ON TV.

i agree! im here cos i love coldplay and i like all the ppl on this board and its so much better then the official one! and i dont hate all the newbies i just hope it wont turn into the official one! What's your name on the official board?

I think she looks really good for her age, and I also think that it's great that she is in her late 30s and starting to have children now. I didn't like her so much earlier in her career but I think she plays Carrie really well in the show. I'd like to look like her when I'm her age!

And another thing I wanted to say, this was just how I feel. Please do not think that everyone hates newbies, I don't hate all newbies. And please do not think that all of the older posters on this board hate all the newbies. That is definitely not the case.

I really appreciate everyone's opinion. I am just going to expand on what I meant by this thread. First of all I don't hate any of the newbies, and I was once a newbie and might even still be considered a newbie by some. My point is that it was once a smaller community and not that it's such a bad thing that it's getting bigger, it's just a lot less personal now and off-topic. It's just I feel as if at one point everyone had something positive to contribute to this board and had something to say and now I feel as if people come on with nothing positive to contribute and especially people who only kinda like Coldplay (And I am not saying everyone that comes here has to be obsessed with Coldplay, just an appreciation for them) I hope that all the newbies keep posting and aren't afraid now because of this thread. And the absolute last thing I want is for this forum to turn into the official one. They could eat you alive. Basically after reading my previous poorly organized paragraph I want to say that all newbies are welcome and I don't hate them at all (for the most part ;)). It's just I feel most people are just making pointless posts or threads just to increase their post count. Off the top of my head the only person that comes to mind that posts a lot but always has something good to contribute is Ginger. And Maria I don't think you are a newbie at all. And I also want to say that I like how this thread didn't turn into an evil fighting thread and everyone made their point without bashing someone else which is very admirable. If some thread like this would happen in the official board it would become really nasty. Thanks :)
