This is a photo from a listing on EIL/991's website. They had this CD for sale asking 89 GBP or $150 USD. It sold at that price very quickly. I got it for about half that. Like I said if you have 2.... sell one.

The Parachutes French promo is rare. If you have 2 of them you should post one on eBay. Not sure how you obtained 2 and not know how rare it is.

CHECK THIS OUT!! I made a dirt cheap offer on eBay for the Parachutes French promo and I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The card sleeve is a little bent but I got it CHEAP!!! It's super rare. I'll bet NOBODY has this one. :) I'll take a picture when it's here!

I was watching this one myself. I've looked around and can't find a match. I have a 500+ release Coldplay Discography and the only one listed is my copy, the Parlophone copy. I'm not sure. The one thing it has going for it is the CD itself. A true blank CD is hard to come by. When you buy a blank CD in the store it will have a manufactures name on it like "SONY" or "Memorex" also the print looks good. I've seen some done on an HP "Light Scribe". This was not. It was pro silk screened. Look to see if you can find any other Fierce Panda promos from 1999 and see if they look alike. After all that.... Go with your gut! Another way to look at it... If you like it.... buy it.

Where you at?? I'm packing my bags! lol It was 103 F today but looking forward to relief on Wed. only 98 F!!!! Anything over 100 F sucks! I was here in Phoenix on June 26th 1990 when we hit our all time high temp. It was 122 F. I had a t-shirt for it. If you added the date 06/26/90 6+26+90 = the temp. 122 Crazy huh?

I just got this in today. It's my second copy of the 4-track LOST! EP acetate promo CD. It came in this beautiful frame. I think it looks great up on the wall. The CD and Plastic Sleeve are "free floating". There is no sticky material holding them in. just the slight pressure of the glass and frame so they remain in "Mint" condition.

The wet half of the monsoon season is almost here. The average start date is my birthday July 14th. We will have thunderstorms in the evenings almost every day for 2 months.

Coldplay working on "Target Stars" Target hopes that fans will love those stars as much as they do. In its quest to pay out on the campaign promise of “more,” the brand will be giving 250 stars away to fans. Those who tweet or Instagram pictures of the night sky with the hashtag #MoreColdplay will be entered to win a star, which is signed by the band.

Is target still giving these away? I went to Target a couple weeks ago to pick up the GS Deluxe Edition and saw nothing about this. I would love to have one!

I think you would still have the art. It's always been a way for the band to express a feeling or an emotion for the album. It would be placed on the front of the card. Maybe on the packaging as well.

As far as a vinyl collection vs. CD. It's all personal preference. Most collectors get into it to the point that they must have every official release down to cassette and even old VHS. I myself like CD over vinyl. I do have some vinyl in my collection. I have the 12" Trouble still factory sealed. Your question about 12" Coldplay singles being rare... The 12" Yellow and Trouble are not so rare. You can find them on eBay most of the time. The 12" Don't Panic is the rare one but as rare as it is it only sells for around $130 to $180 USD. To me CDs are a lot more fun to collect. it's the current format used/sold in stores so you can find all titles on this format. Vinyl made a big comeback a few years ago so Parlophone and Capitol Records re-released the Coldplay albums on vinyl. I believe it will die out completely some day. Many years ago (early 90s), I thought, what will replace CDs? I thought of a small computer chip that you plug into a port. Sure enough many years later they tested this format on "Parachutes" with an SD card loaded with the album. I don't think it did so well. We all store our music files on our hard drives or directly on our MP3 players. Who wants a mini SD card for each album. I think you will go to your local music store and pick up a card and pay for the download. Kind of like a phone card. This way the albums can still be physically sold in stores yet keeping the music controlled digitally. The record label would save millions on manufacturing. All we collectors would have left to collect is the card. Kind of like a baseball card collection.

With all of the technology artists have at their disposal they add a variety of sound effects and melodies with computers and not the normal instruments they use during a live concert. In order to play these songs live they have no choice other than to alter the original art. After all it's Coldplay's music. Who's to tell them what they are doing is wrong. That would be like telling Leonardo Da Vinci that he shouldn't have used the colors he painted the "Mona Lisa" with.

Another good idea for "Coldplay art" to hang up. I went to a local arts and crafts store to have one of my concert posters framed and I found 12" x 12" & 7" x 7" frames made specifically for 12" & 7" LPs. Not only a great way to display your vinyl but also a perfect form of protection. They were a little expensive. I think the 12" frame was $14.99 and the 7" was $9.99. It would cost a small fortune to frame all of the CP vinyl releases.

I personally think if you want to spend around $75 for a Lithograph you might think of checking out rare Concert posters or even promo posters. They look really good framed. Parlophone released "Live 2003" to movie theaters in 31 select cities in the US for a one night viewing on the day of the release of the CD/DVD. I have a huge very rare original movie poster for that one night screening and it cost me about the same as a lithograph. I guess just something to think about.

Are those the "lithographs" that are not really "Lithographs that Coldplay.com is offering refunds for?

I think we should start a Coldplay Convention. Where we collectors can come and buy, sell and trade items or just look and see what's out there. I vote Phoenix be the first location!

The Master- What I was trying to say... That copy of safety was posted for sale at auction. You or I could have purchased it. All you would have had to do is type in a number bigger than his.... That's not luck. If Jonny sent it directly to him out of the blue... That's luck.

Major Cooper knows I think his Jonny autograph copy is cool. I was talking to him on the phone the day he got it in the mail.
