Tips for boosting your chances of getting concert tickets
Nice! If there is another sale on G&T, I'll give it a go, though is there any way to make it stop at step 3 so I can select where I want to be?

Remember, follow Gigs and Tours on Twitter. Any extra tickets will be advertised on there. If you're really desperate, set up alerts for when they tweet. You'll end up getting a few too many notifications on Enrique Iglesias, but it will be worth it if you get a ticket!

A lot of people will be standing. It's a gig for goodness sake! People sitting will be in the vast minority.

It's definitely in the round. Here's the seating plan for the gig.

Didn't say the seat number sadly. This will have to do :P Saying that, I am front row of the circle, probably best not to risk getting thrown off it :embarrassed:

I had a quick look on Viagogo last night, saw a seat in my block, same row (Circle, Block V, Row 1) for £1,000. Could get interesting :P Edit, it was Seatwave, and the seat is gone now.

[2nd July 14] Meet Up thread for Royal Albert Hall, London
At least you're going to the gig, loads of people would kill for your seat. And you'll be fine anyway, I'm sure Chris will move around the stage quite a lot.

To keep things fair for customers, we often place restrictions on the quantity of tickets you may purchase; for example setting a minimum or maximum quantity, or requiring you to buy your tickets in sets of 2 or other multiples. The maximum number of tickets per-customer for this show is 2. I'd say that implies 2 tickets for that one date. Anyway, it doesn't affect me anyway. I have my ticket so I don't really care if some slightly greedy people get their tickets canceled. As I said, I hope people on here get tickets. Word of advice for those praying for tickets, follow G&T on Twitter, they'll announce any "extras" on there. They did that for U1R, shame I couldn't go to that.

Hmmm... interesting. Sounds harsh as they did not specify that you couldn't buy tickets for both dates. Canceling 1 set would be fair, but both is very harsh. Doesn't affect me though, just hope if tickets are re-released that Coldplayers get them.

The vast majority of people will be facing towards the organ (which is where you'll be sitting.) so the odds are that they will play most of the show facing away from you.

Sadly, the Royal Albert Hall is booked out for the dates around it so I doubt there will be another date. It's not like the Emirates where the next event is weeks away, the RAH is booked out most days. July 7th-July 9th is available, so they could potentially do gigs then, but don't get your hopes up.

[1st July 14] Meet up thread for Royal Albert Hall, London
I'll be there on July 2nd. I'll be at an open-day for a university I'm thinking of going to from 9:30 til about 1. Then I'm planning to have a bit of retail therapy in Oxford Street, so I'll be available at around 3pm. Looks like there are 3 of us in the "underage" club. 17 here. Btw, wouldn't it be easier to have separate threads for the different dates?

[2-Jul-2014] Royal Albert Hall, London, UK
Well, it's been one of the most stressful days ever, but in the dying seconds before I had to leave, I managed to secure a front row circle seat (Block V Row 1, Seat 149) at 5:10pm (that's after it was "sold out". Proof then that you should never give up. Like most here, I have had my share of G&T's ineptness. For the 1st gig, I was too slow in the "after sold out" scramble, then for this one, I managed to get through very early on, had an Arena ticket, and then got thrown back into the queue. Well, at least I got one! (sorry, could only afford 1 ticket). If you missed out on a ticket, unlucky. If it's any consolation, there are thousands upon thousands who missed out on tickets for this one. They probably could have sold RAH 30 times over for this one. Even though I was one of the lucky ones, I still believe G&T couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Anyway, for those going, Well Done! This time in 26 days, we'll be watching whoever the support act is.

[2-Jul-2014] Royal Albert Hall, London, UK
There was a gig originally scheduled for another artist at RAH on July 2nd and all the other dates around the 1st gig were taken up. The July 2nd show pulled out through illness so Coldplay snapped up the venue for a 2nd night. Dunno how recently the cancellation was confirmed but it would have been nice to have known beforehand.

I do. I've learnt a few things about See Tickets since then, and I was able to pull tickets this morning about an hour later (Could not allocate error means I couldn't get them)
