Choir is the section behind where the stage usually is. This pretty much confirms it's in the round. Stage Seats, my guess would be Arena and Stall seats.

Stalls. I'm hoping for those as well. Unless you get an amazon code, don't bother with arena.

Just got woken up by an email from amazon. I GOT An email advertising an Xbox game. Thanks Amazon, not quite the email from you that I was hoping for from you.

Train tickets from Cardiff still decent (£18 single) so hopefully they stay that way, don't want to book anything until I have the tickets. Best of luck to everyone, praying I get an amazon code to save myself the stress!

The entry hasn't closed yet, so they won't have been given out yet. Edit, from Amazon:

You lot are brave! I'm holding back on buying train tickets! I only need a single as I'm in London to go to a uni openday on the 2nd July and I get a lift back from that. Hopefully prices stay reasonable. £18 for now but I'm not going to take the gamble.

Best of luck to everyone entering the competition. If (by a miracle) I win, I'll also have a spare spot which I'll almost certainly end up offering up on here. The prices for all the promo gigs have been sky high. I think it's the band if I'm being honest.

Google and smart contact lens
When I went to Tokyo last month, I visited the R&D center of NTT Docomo. They showed me (and the group I was with) a video envisaging a contact lens thing. It's hard to describe. It's sort of like Google Glass in a contact lens. They said they hope it will go commercial by 2020. It's going to be an interesting decade for contact lens technology.

Criticisms with the album?
It was quite short, I'd have liked another song or two to bring it up to an average length. The majority of the songs are beautiful, but will they suit a stadium or festival environment? I doubt it.

Thank you for this, Coldplay
I share the sentiments of everyone else on this thread. GS is a great album, and we should all be thankful to Coldplay for that. Great post as well.

Rank the Ghost Stories songs!
In order: 1. Ink- Might be that I've only just heard it but I think it sounds sublime. I think they will have 5 of GS as Singles, this has to be one of them. 2. A Sky Full of Stars- It's the song that gives this album the edge. Can't wait to experience it live. 3. O- A beautiful song, great way to round off the album. 4. True Love- It's a very, very nice song. 5. Oceans- I love the sonar effects in this. 6. Always In My Head- A lovely song, rightly the opener to the album. 7. Midnight- Something that we've never heard from Coldplay before, and it worked. 8. Magic- A nice song to sing along to. Surprised it was the 1st single though. 9. Another's Arms- It's last, but it's still a song I love. Probably would have ranked at least 6th on Mylo.

This is the view looking behind from the middle of the arena seats. These are the Gallery seats (the bits behind the seats). So the very top section of the hall.

I'm personally going to try and get Stalls seats. Looks like the largest area and it's still close to the band. My hint would be don't bother with Arena, it looks tiny and people are instantly going to try for those as they are the best seats. If you get presale then go for it, but avoid it like the plague if you don't. http://www.royalalberthall.com/virtualtour/index.html - Virtual Tour of the RAH.

There will be 500 pairs of tickets, meaning a maximum of 1,000. 4,200 for General Sale.

Codes will be unique and 1 time only use. Interesting wording from Amazon: "The show will be their second, and final, appearance in the UK this year." Which implies, no full GS Tour. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Wouldn't mind that. It's exam season now and I have exams next Friday and the Friday after, both in the morning. If they go on sale then I'm doomed to the Viagogo extortion. Trouble is, Train Tickets will skyrocket a month before. Ah well, more expensive train tickets are a small price to pay, that's if I can get a ticket anyway. How did you get that info anyway?
