  1. i have to resist starting that debate again
  2. wow thats actually very interesting. maybe it will have something to do with the ep
  3. Only Superstition?
  4. it definitely has to do with Glasonbury.. he even "large festival of guesses from all eras" but i just can't see what it could be if it doesn't have anything to do with Chris or Gwyneth's family.
  5. Hymn for the Weekend or Midnight? EDIT: Actually is it Everglow? You said different father-daughter pair, and if I picked up your other hints correctly I thought of the song that features Gwyneth.
  6. oh damn i just saw your post where you said chris is not a part of the family i thought i was onto something with the songs featuring Apple/Moses
  7. Sorry for starting this after i should have ended it :/ i just wanted to defend this stupid concept of "newplay" and "oldplay" it makes me angrywhen people say one is better than the other because the band stopped trying.
  8. Well we're talking about two different things then. I never said anything about this concept of "Newplay" or "Oldplay" being better than the other. I just find it incredibly annoying when people use the argument that because it's pop music it's bad (which i'm not saying anyone here used). All i'm saying is that the boys know exactly what they have been doing since January 1998-ish.
  9. Again, **pleasseeee** read the comment above. You are not understanding me properly.
  10. Oh and please don't take this the wrong way, I still love pre-Mylo Coldplay of course. A Rush of Blood to the Head and Viva are two of the greatest alternative albums of all time. Just giving the rest of the discography the recognition it deserves.
  11. Again, see the comment above
  12. Yes. See my above post.
  13. No, I meant Will. When I say producer, I mean more in terms of creating the electronic drums/synths than mixing the sounds together, if that makes any sense. So not like Rik Simpson, think more of Kanye. But again this is all opinion. I just think it's unfair to say Coldplay don't put any effort into their music anymore.
  14. well thats not really what I was saying. my point was that saying post-2011 Coldplay is low effort or unimaginative is so ridiculous. The instrumentation is superior in that there are so many layers that blend perfectly yet still sound simple, if you get what i'm trying to say. whether you enjoy the albums or not is irrelevant to what i'm saying. But them being bad because of the change in style is completely ridiculous. you think AHFOD because its not your type of music, which is cool, but dont dismiss it as bad because you think the band have lost their touch.
  15. care to elaborate?
  16. I know its a matter of opinion and everything, but honestly the instrumentation of the last three albums are much better the 1st four. Will is a phenomenal producer and the best bass lines and some of the best riffs have come from from AHFOD alone. Again I know its opinion but i get angry when people say Mylo, Ghost Stories, or AHFOD are "forgettable" or "low effort" because its just untrue. Maybe vocal parts/lyrics aren't as meaningful (sorry Chris) but the rest of the band are for sure shining through more than ever. anyway this isnt the right place to discuss this.
  17. It sounds a lot like The Dubliners from the viva era
  18. is it as easy as it sounds? brothers and sisters?
  19. too late
