Yeah, same here. I agree that it is a little ridiculous, 99% of the people with cell phones have it solely for the purpose of communication, not to take pictures or to record the show -- and I haven't seen anything on the website for Avalon, on Coldplay's website or on the tickets (or ticketmaster) saying "Don't bring your phone." I don't want it to be confiscated, and it is ridiculous to expect me to know not to bring a cell phone, seeing as I have never been told (aside from this community) that it was banned.

Soon is relative. Also, they're pretty booked until August/September. They have Toronto and Boston next week, Two in New York following that and then Europe all summer.

I GOT A TICKET!! They sold out wicked fast, but the guy at the counter told me not to go anywhere, and he kept clicking for another minute or so and one came up and I got it! Weee! :D :D

Yeah, coldplay.com says tickets go on sale at 10 -- ticketmaster says noon, which do I believe?

Sorry to correct, but the Beacon show is on the 17th. And maybe they'll announce ticket sales for it later? I mean...they can't honestly expect to have even a moderately-packed house when the only way you can go is for $1400...that's a little crazy.

Hey I saw that they're doing two "gigs" in NYC (one at BAM for VH1 and the other at the Beacon Theatre)...aside from buying through the tour package, does anyone know how to get tickets to one of the shows?

Looking at the conversion rates for the UK and European (well I looked at one German date) it came out to about $74...I don't think they'll be $74 in America. That seems ridiculously expensive. (I'd still go though :D )

Obviously this is a broad topic and near impossible to accurately predict. But any thoughts/ideas on what you think X&Y's cover is gonna/should look like?

Hahaha - OMG My friend asked me how the new stuff sounded today and I said the exact same thing. And it makes complete sense if you've heard it y'know. I really love the songs.

I can't P2P at school/on my laptop -- but I keep them in my iTunes...however there are only about 12 people on this specific network. And about five of them have quite a few songs (outside of Parachutes and Rush of Blood)

you have waited this long so what would a few more weeks matter ? thats how I see it !! i just waited two years cuz there was no way. there wasnt any new song... at the moment one song was "released", i wanted to listen to and, as this song was so near me, i asked for a download. and i really dont mind. there are fans who had Talk, there are other who dont. and no one is better, or more fan, than the other. so. it makes difference to me if there is a new song. I do agree with what you're saying basically. Especially since it is a song that to our knowledge won't be on the album...I'm still going to try to abide by my pledge (meaning not actively searching for new songs...but if one is presented on the board -- I might not be able to say no.) I've downloaded plenty of CDs and still bought the albums. There's something about having the actual CD that will never beat a burned copy/an iTunes copy etc...

Does "legal Radio" include if it were on MTV.com's the leak (like they originally were to be on)? If that is the case, I'll sign up too -- but I'm horrible with surprises, so this is a big step for me.

I'll be realistic and say album release date and 1st single on the radio, the rest announced online.
