  1. My question is if it sounds good slow, how could it be an uptempo song... Does that mean Chris liked it even better fast? Which brings me to, if it is good slow then... How good is it fast?
  2. Well I sorta meant in modern music but you know still valid[emoji23]
  3. Also I've always wanted to make a thread where we could post a link to a super old dead thread every couple of days that we could all go on and spam for no reason. Seems fun to look at what people were thinking from years and years ago
  4. I was so thrilled when I heard that lyric at first lol
  5. Yeah she never was as serious about it as me. She kept on coming up with fantastical ideas, which I mean were cool, but it was super hard to make a solid story out of them. Especially with the lack of time she seemed to have.
  6. Oh, in the song Drunk (on his first album +) Ed sings the lyrics 'On cold days cold plays out like the bands name'. So the idea was to find the song and then relate it to Glass of Water. Drunk is a classic though I was obsessed with that song for a long time. And either one of you can come up with a clue it's up to you guys [emoji23][emoji23]
  7. Oh hey somebody remembers that!! Well I think it was a mixture of nobody else actually wanting to post fanfics and the odd time period where there was no Coldplay stuff going on to spark more people coming to the forum. Also, the girl who wanted to write with me just stopped messaging me all of the sudden...
  8. Not part of the story but HEY THIS THREAD IS STILL ACTIVE I feel so accomplished
  9. Gotta say, Fix You, for some reason keeps on coming up in my everyday life whenever there is any sad or somber occasion. It's pretty weird but it still makes me cry every time.
  10. Yes!!! That was faster than I thought it would be... Okay then your turn!
  11. Yeah classical is just so... Epic? I mean and sometimes it is so mellow. It's amazing what you can convey with no voices at all.
  12. The funny thing is I was so unaware of how hardcore my parents were/are (even though now that I think about it I don't know how I hadn't realized it earlier considering half my childhood was built on Coldplay) until I was filtering through my parents cd drawer a good time after I started listening to Coldplay religiously, and dug up Parachutes which according to my parents, was bought right when it came out in 2000. Also, whenever I listen to Viva I have memories of my families 2008 trip to Atlantic Canada etched in my mind. Literally it's actually scary how vivid the memories get when I listen to it... And I was 7 at the time (I know I'm youngish don't laugh...)
  13. Haha don't worry nobody I know was affected by the attacks, I'm not even French. I suppose that just the thought of how something could happen to absolutely anybody so easily, and that there are people in the world who want to hurt... It just didn't settle well with him.
  14. Well your half there? It is guess the Coldplay song after all [emoji23]
  15. My father said he had trouble sleeping last night because he kept having dreams that my sister and I were in those attacks... It's really affected everybody around me
  16. The melody itself, even if sped up, seems beautiful
  17. Nope, think... More Ed Sheeran?
  18. Yeah you might have to [emoji23]
  19. Honestly, I had forgotten how emotional fly on was before this set. I may have shed a few tears at 12:30 am in my bed
  20. But omg birds!! I was too excited to even think about it it was GORGOUS
  21. Aww I got in the live stream too late. THE BEATLES ARE MY LIFE
  22. This might require further music knowledge but your clue is: Ed Sheeran
  23. Honestly props to Coldplay for actually going out there and playing. I would be nervous to go out especially since a music hall was targeted in Paris. It's amazing how horrible the world is at times.
  24. I was too! I wasn't even aware the stream was today I thought it was later, but I sort of hope they stream the old songs. Of course I am aware this is a very solemn occasion but I'm sure Coldplay will deliver a set dedicated to victims of the attack and I would love to watch that. Then again I understand completely if they decide not to it makes perfect sense.
