  1. i'll be grateful with coldplay forever... they're the ones who changed my life... they're the first band i really liked and thanks to their excelent taste in music i discovered lost of other bands that i ended up loving, first came pink floyd, then radiohead, then thanks to rh i found sigur rós, then the falming lips, then wilco, then jeff buckley, then mogwai, bob dylan, interpol, arcade fire, belle & sebastian, my bloody valentine, the smiths, the beach boys and lots of other bands that i wouldn't have known if it wasn't for COLDPLAY :) so they really changed the way i see music and life and everything...
  2.
  3. well, i didn't want to be negative, it's just that it was the first time i faced that i didn't like the album as i thought i would... but i'm sure they can and will do better the next time
  4. altough every one of them have become beter instrumentalists, i don't like the new album thet much because of the production in general... the album is totally overproduced... i think that the production is used in a mediocre way to hide all the stuff that the album's missing: all the emotion and originality of the previous two, and tkc is the only decent acoustic song (a message is anoying). There's no way this album can be compared to arobtth, the previous one was fresh, heartfelt, sincere; this one finds the guys trying to be something that they're not. why the hell are they trying to be the next u2??? they should try to be the next beatles or the next radiohead, not in terms of sound but in terms of originality, invention and experimentation. in the first times chris was a fan of the flaming lips and jeff buckley, well he should listen to them again to realise how much they have moved away from that way... yes, every band has to evolve, and that's why i love radiohead, the falming lips or sigur rós so much, but this new direction showed me that my favourite band is never going to be the best, maybe the biggest but not the best...
  5. this is kind of creepy actually :stunned:
  6. :laugh1:  what a great page that is! :wideeyed:
  7. Elo i love your avatar :)
  8. i hate to say this but i agree... i used to think they could but X&Y is a big let down :/ if they just don't care about being BIG anymore and instead try to be the BEST
  9. yeah but that's kind of inevitable, isn't it?
  10. ok that's true but i really think those two deserve to be on the list...
  11. hey and what about the flaming lips or sigur rós :/
