New news on new Travis album Both Fran and Dougie have posted on the Travis message board in the last couple of days regarding the new album. This is from Fran: Americana. New Yoik. Home tomorrow. Mixing all done. Phew. And this was posted by Dougie today: hey all long time no type! thanks v much for delightful birthday wishes. Had a great one thanks. We are busy trying to work out a tracklisting for the new record. It all sounds very excting, so it's quite tricky. But bear with us. muchos gracias for your patience so far. Not long now. woo and indeed hoo! toodles. xdp Sounds like it's nearly ready then:D

Lets hope so, Im dying for a new Travis album. Not so bothered about the album, although I would like some new music from them, but I can't wait to see them live again.

The official Travis site is currently down and has been for a few hours. Oh dear god, I hope this means their updating it!!!! *Crosses fingers*

I heard that a dj on virgin radio the other day said he's heard most of the album and that it's sounding really good, but he also said it wouldn't be released till early next year.:(

So true, I think it's cool that all the guys from Travis post on the message board. Fran more than, Dougie, Neil and Andy though.

Ha, I just noticed, they filmed the Speed Of Sound video on my birthday last year.:D

I dunno why everyone hates 12 Memories so much, I mean sure it's not thier best, but it still has some great tunes on it. Re-offender is my favourite ever Travis song, I also love Quicksand, Happy To Hang Around, Peace The Fuck Out. Infact the only songs I don't like from 12 Memories are, Paperclips, which is my least favourite Travis song and How Many Hearts.

Just read on the main site: "A couple of months ago, Chris filmed a cameo role for an episode of extras. The forthcoming second series, created by comiedian Ricky Gervais will be screened later on BBC and HBO TV. We will let you know in the mean time when the show will be transmitted. I'm really looking forward to that!!!:)

As far as I know, the only audio from the Australian gigs, is the one from the 2nd Sydney show, I don't think there is anything else, well definatley not from Perth anyway.:(

It's nice that Fran mentioned album 6 in the post, I know he was only joking, but hopefully that means their not planning to quit after this album.:)

Ooooohhhhh just you wait. Heeheee...man, your frustrated messages are bringing a tear to my almost glass eye. New Babies are amazing and inspiring. Our wee boy is nearly 5 months old. I haven't played him any Travis music yet. That could be seen as child abuse in some parts. Hahaaa... I have, however, been playing him guitar and singing made up songs that seem to be getting a good reaction. Cue an anomalous vocal gobbldigook 6th album ( the one after next). called Goo. Only your babies will get it though. Also been dancing with him to mostly Motown, Stevie, Diana, Jacksons blah. Anyways, don't fret. We'll be with you soon. xfx I have a feeling we're going to get an announcement on the new album very, very soon, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.:)

I love Phonics, I went to see them in Birmingham last year. My mate I went with lent me Live from Dakota, I think it's awesome.:D
