I know there is a film version of this story, but I've just finished reading the book and it was sooooo brilliant ....

Sometimes the narration about WWII politics can get a little tedious.... :stunned: But the love story which is intertwined with the tense situation in 1940's Occupied France is worth sticking around for. ;)

 

I found the end of the book sooo inspirational, and for once it was a love story which didn't leave you feeling resentful, jealous or sad :lol:

Oh and if anyone has seen the film adaptation....... is it worth seeing? :)
