can you speed up/slow down windows media player..

Featured Replies

can you speed up/slow down windows media player by changing a setting or something? i have this movie file and i want to speed up the parts i dont want and such but it just plays continuously. is there a way i can change this?

you can speed up some formats. I'm not sure which ones, though.

go to...

View/Enhancements/Play Speed Settings

...and a bar will appear at the bottom which lets you set the play speed.

yeah thanks i looked that up on the FAQ site but i dont have Enhancements;

and i think i didn't explain it right.

like say you have a video of a Radiohead concert and the first song is 2+2=5, and the second song is Creep. my problem is that i have to sit through 2+2=5 before i can watch Creep, i can't skip to it.

is there a way i can fix that?

there should be a way of creating splits in the main file to coincide with the start and end of each track

that way you can have seperate files for seperate tracks and then mix n match them in to a playlist

just a passing thought :cool:
