Electric Guitar

So im new to guitars and want to buy an electric. What coldplay songs are easy to learn for both acoustic and electric? What do I need to play electric, and does anyone know any good sites that would help me learn the very basics. I know how to hold a guitar but thats about it. Anyway so please can someone help.

ok, enough with my lame humor...

 

So yeah, you'll probably need some picks, maybe a few packs of spare guitar strings, a case, an amp (if you want an electric guitar)....uhhh.....
